Project: Employment Intensive Infrastructure Programme in Lebanon (EIIP) Position: Project Support Assistant: Environmental & Social Safeguard Officer Duration: August 2024 till Present

The EIIP is a KfW Development Bank funded project, it aims to create jobs for vulnerable Lebanese host community and Syrian refugees through construction and maintenance of locally prioritized infrastructure. ILO is leading project implementation, working in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and ministry of Social Affairs and in coordination with participating municipalities and relevant technical line ministries.

Duties include:

Project: Water Sanitation and Conservation (WSC) Project Position: HSE Engineer Duration: February 2022 till May 2024 WSC is a USAID funded project with the objectives of expanding the capacity of wastewater and sanitation management, increasing the efficiency of public water utilities to manage water resources, and enhancing citizens water stewardship. Duties include:
• Conduct a detailed health, safety and environmental impact assessment to the projects from the design phase until the projects final completion including operation and maintenance. According to the assessment a set of HSE mitigation measures and standard operating procedures will be generated in order to be incorporated and applied on the projects during all its phases. Taking as a reference the local laws and regulations (e.g. Ministries of health, environment, agriculture etc.) and international laws and regulation (e.g. OSHA Standards, Code of Federal Regulations etc.). Below are the projects implemented:
o Photovoltaic systems projects.
o Pump stations.
o Generators
o Wastewater treatment plants.
o Biogas plant.
o Sludge treatment plants.
o Composting units.
o Rain water harvesting.
• Liaise with the Lebanese ministries (e.g. Ministries of energy and water, health, environment, agriculture etc.) and Regional Water Establishments on the proposed projects till their handing over.
• Assess the current security situation that is occurring mainly in the south, communicate relevant information to WSC Employees and subcontractors

Work at the CCC corporate offices and was responsible for over 12 projects around the World. Duties include:
• Develop, gather and maintain HS&E data for HS&E procedures, reports and regulatory documents.

• Prepared an HSE training program to 50+ Engineers working at Almabani General Contracting in the KSA. The training program extended over 3 months and around 40 HSE topics with tests and grading.
