O&M Phase (May, 11 to date)
• Reviewing & ensuring plant operations & maintenance are in accordance with OEM recommendations / prudent utility practices and in compliance with contracts e.g. PPA, GSA, O&M & PSA. To Ensure that work is carried out safely and to the requirements of International Standards and SOP of Foundation Power / KPS.
• Prepares and implement complex performance monitoring and optimization strategy.
• Review daily, weekly, monthly plant and annual plant performance and operation reports prepared by O&M Operator, and offer technical support for optimization of complex performance and operating costs (fuel, water, auxiliary electricity).
• Support O&M team to optimize plant performance and to take preventive, corrective actions and suggest plant performance improvement projects.
• Preparation of techno-commercial assessments for final approval from Authorities / Equity Partners.
• Coordinating with the Power Purchasers for getting approvals of planned & forced outages
• Conducting CCPP annual capacity test / dependable capacity test in coordination with Power Purchaser as per Article 8.4.
• Leading the team members in preparing critical / strategic spare part lists of CCPP
• Involved in:
o Invoicing of CCPP and monitoring PPA applicable variable factors that affecting owner’s financial interests
o GT spares forecasting & procurement
o Inventory & store management of O&M Operator
• Offering assistance in developing Management of Change Procedure (MoC) and approving the proposed MoCs for implementation & execution
• Developing & offering assistance for operational / engineering risk assessment i.e. FMEA, PHA & JHA
• Preparing EHS policy and getting the same implemented through O&M Operator
• Reviewing & updating plant related technical information (design drawings, operation and performance) at owner’s end
Project Phase (May 08 - May, 11)
• Involved in design review, installation, testing & commissioning of CCPP and gas turbine
• Ensuring EPC agreement complies by the RFP and EPC Contract with M/s. Doosan Heavy Industries of Korea
• Approval of commissioning procedures prepared by EPC Contractor and monitoring commissioning activities as per agreed procedures.
• Reporting to:
o HQ for preparing BOD presentations
o Stake holders i.e. PPIB, Lenders and Equity Partner
• Representing FPCDL in several meetings (Within country and abroad) along with EPC Contractor for project progress review and settlement after COD.
• Liaising with GE at site for the root cause analysis of GE frame 9E combustion issues
• Interacting with Lahmeyer International at site for the root causes analysis of plant issues
• Reviewing and conducting:
o Performance Test of the CCPP as per ISO standard 2314 amd 1
o Net Heat Rate Test by Lahmeyer International and demonstrated to NEPRA & NTDC
• Engaged in commissioning of CCPP with Power Purchaser as per PPA Article 8.2. & 8.3
• Reviewing and offering suggestions over PPA Schedules and amendments in line with technical limits of CCPP
• Offering technical support for seeking mandatory NOCs / Licenses for project development.
In my previous job, I worked on GE Gas Turbine 9E as follows;
•Supervision of CIs, HGPIs and MI of gas turbine (Frame 9E) and auxiliary equipment.
Possess very good know how of CCPP Operations in accordance with OEM guidelines and prudent utility practices / Agreements.
My academic career is marvellous though-out, I secured 2nd position in final year examination. Also I remained position holder in my class in the university. I secured A-One grade in final year examination.
