Responsible for leading laboratory operations, analysing daily process samples throughout company processes from off-shore to completed products, reviewing all LNG, LPG and Sales Gas products
Conducting calibration of equipment, identifying issues and performing maintenance on instruments including Gas Chromatography Spectrometer, Mercury analyzer, Sulfur analyzer, Ion Chromatography, Atomic Absorbtion, pH meters, Conductivity meters and UV Spectrophotometer
Managing the maintenance of all calibration on instruments, ensuring all records are updated and maintained appropriately and in accordance with standard operating procedures
Reviewing procedures to identify updates as required in order to maintain and improve current practices within the laboratory
Monitoring and maintaining health, safety and environmental conditions within the laboratory, paying special attention to the operation and maintenance of equipment and accessories including gas cylinders, storing flammable and hazardous chemicals
Conducting method development, verification and validation activities
Liaising with other departments in order to ensure effective communication of results, utilising the Laboratory Information Management System as required
Working in conjunction with a wider team to complete tasks on time and in accordance with objectives

• Achieved outstanding rating on Performance Management System in 2012, 2013 and 2015
• Successfully lead and completed new LNG laboratory installation, commissioning for LNG Cargo certification in 2014-2015.
• Successfully lead and completed Barzan Gas laboratory installation, commissioning in 2015-2016
Establish, execute, and enforce quality control plans and procedures that will underlie the plant’s operations; so as to assure high quality products as per customer requirements and expectations
Plan, manage and lead a high morale laboratory workforce to maximize individual and team productivity
Perform equipment calibration/verification/maintenance as per stated frequency which involve calibration standard mixture preparation.
Maintain laboratory consumables and chemicals inventory level.
Perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure longer shelf-life of the equipment.
Liase with process operator on analysis results of in-process samples
Set-up, perform and verify new analytical method independently.
Prepare Purchase Requisition and performed goods received into SAP system
Liase/communicate with external vendors for request of preliminary quotation, consumable or spare parts specification, follow-up on purchase order delivery
Liase with loading department and logistic department personnel on preparation of Certificate of Analysis
Coordinate instrument preventive maintenance and major breakdown repair with instrument vendors.
Train Lab technicians III, II and I on chemistry calculations, e.g. for dilution, solution or standard preparation and blending calculation.
Perform/lead in troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and analysis (GC, IC, Karl Fisher Instrument, HPLC, Auto titrator, Spectrophotometer, AAS, etc)
Developed new formulation for textile and leather chemicals.
