Incident Investigation & Reporting

* Conduct incident, accident, near-miss, and unsafe condition investigations.
* Prepare comprehensive investigation reports including INRA (Incident/Near Miss Root Cause Analysis), 5 Why Analysis, and RCAT (Root Cause Analysis Technique) reports.
* Identify immediate, underlying, and root causes of incidents and track implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
* Develop and communicate safety alerts, lessons learned, and incident notifications across project teams.

Site Inspections & Compliance Monitoring

* Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and compliance gaps.
* Raise Action Notices (ANs) for identified deviations from project requirements, legal standards, and company procedures.

Risk Assessment & Safety Planning

* Prepare, review, and update Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statement Risk Assessments (MSRA).
* Conduct Pre-Job Observation Discussions (PJODs) and verify work activities are performed in accordance with approved MSRAs.
* Record and report deviations identified during PJODs and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and review Manual Handling Assessments to reduce ergonomic and musculoskeletal risks.
* Prepare and review COSHH Assessments for hazardous substances and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
* Conduct Fire Load Assessments and evaluate fire risks associated with work areas, storage arrangements, and temporary facilities.

Permit to Work & High-Risk Activities

* Monitor implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
* Verify control measures for work at height, lifting operations, hot works, confined space entry, excavation, and electrical activities.
* Ensure permits, certifications, inspections, and competency requirements are maintained.

Safety Communication & Awareness

* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
* Communicate safety alerts, significant incidents, and lessons learned to the workforce.

* Prepare weekly and monthly HSE performance reports.
* Monitor HSE KPIs, trends, and statistics and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Ensure timely submission of client and management reports.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

* Support implementation of ALEC HSE policies, procedures, and objectives.
* Participate in management walkthroughs, leadership tours, and HSE campaigns.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the HSE management system.
* Promote behavioral safety initiatives and intervene on unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
