After relocating from Dubai, UAE, I joined Hassab labs HQ as an accounting manager and was reporting to the group CFO.
Hassab Labs is one of the leading providers of medical laboratory testing in Egypt with over 45 branches. As the first medical lab accredited by EGAC/ILAC, the lab results are recognized globally and meet the strictest international quality standards.
Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general ledger and ensuring that entries are posted correctly in accordance with IFRS and with group policy.
• Responsible for the treasury, banking relationship and all online banking transactions (For 5 banks).
• Implementation of the new lease standard for Hassab’s 45+ branches
• Preparation and closing monthly financial statements, in accordance with IFRS standard and group policy & Procedures.
• Submit the monthly management reports to the group CFO & CEO on time.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet items with maintaining supporting schedules.
• Act as a business partner, providing support to other operation departments.
• Coordinate with the external auditors and provide them with all the required documents, information, samples, explanations for any questions .
• Driving budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring all inputted information is maintained with accuracy and update working files for regular review
• Ensure provisions are taken in line with group finance policy & procedures
• Analise all lines of the P&L to explain variances versus budget/forecast and present my commentary and recommendation.
• Ensure internal financial controls are in place and drive efficiency throughout the department
• Lead projects whilst liaising with department heads to achieve accurate and precise forecasts
• Support the periodic credit control meetings on collection status and agreeing the actions assigned
• Managing payroll expenses of all employee provisions on balance sheet
• Ensure the AR and AP functions are aligned to company procedures and protocol
• Maintain all customer reconciliations on revenue recognition & ensure all accounts are accurate
• Manage all expenditures relating to the inter-companies and recharge them on a monthly basis
• Regular reconciliation of inter-company balances
• VAT, WHT, Stamp and Corporate Tax filings and liaising with designated third parties to ensure information is audited and checked before filing

• Internal Finance
▪ Monitor & review day-to-day accounting transactions (AR-AP-GL) to ensure all
transactions are booked correctly.

under-performing business lines.
▪ Monitor the Business Development team actual performance compare to their target and
share the report with the BD Director.
▪ Act as a finance partner with the group treasury director. And finance support with other
