• As an Engineer-in-Charge of Hospital, supporting hospital administration in the provision of engineering services to meet the needs of the medical, nursing, support services and other departments.
• Administer procurement and fiscal management activities associated with building and ground maintenance activities, which may include RFPs and contracts; reviewing and authorizing purchase orders; obtaining price quotes and bids.
• Responsible for operation & maintenance, installation and proper functioning of Engineering Utility Equipment’s.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
• Responsible for the direction, supervision and control of a group of staff assigned.
• Reviewing specifications and drawings prepared by private consultants ensuring design meets statutory and recognized international health industry requirements.
• Support and implement, in conjunction with Computerized Maintenance Management System (FSI / Asset Plus).
• Proficiency in Project Planning, Project Scheduling & Project Monitoring.
• To review and evaluate the subcontractor’s schedules, reports and monitoring submittals in order to align the subcontracted items as indicated in the contract schedule.
• Arranging / scheduling inspection of works by the consultant at site upon raising of RFI.
• Perform cooling load calculations, Air Flow control scheme, DDC/ BMS logic control sequence in HVAC Control panel, Equipment selection, HVAC control logic diagram, Selection of Chemical filter and design air duct and pipe sizing.
• Provide requisition for time, manpower and resources (TMR) in executing the project within the approved budget and monitor the actual construction/ installation progress
• To review and approve all mechanical equipment and materials (MAR) submitted by the contractor.
• Manage projects on site with vendors, fabricators, and customers.
• Maintaining proper records of testing & commissioning of individual systems for onward submission.
• Supervise the commissioning team to carry out the pre commissioning and commissioning activities as per systems and sub system boundaries and mark up drawings.
• Co-ordinate with clients & contractors on regular basis for project schedule and status.
• Communicate with all levels within the organization and with the vendors and subcontractors.
• Working knowledge of codes, construction sequencing, scheduling, safety regulations and engineering drawings required.
• Co-ordination with all discipline leads and procurement leads during detailed engineering.
• Designing project plans on power point and presenting them to facility owners and engineers.
HVAC Documentation URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and Reports as-per USFDA / WHO/ MHRA / ANVISA.
Developing plans and upgrading the HVAC equipment’s and increasing their efficiency.
Performing HVAC load calculations and designing air distribution systems
Installation & Qualification of the equipment’s as per the protocol.
Proficiency in HVAC Design (Heat Load Calculations, Duct System sizing, execution and equipment selection).
Execution of projects of different types of HVAC equipment’s including AHU, VAV, FCU UH’s, Dehumidifier’s, Exhaust Systems, Chiller’s, Cooling Towers, Heat Pumps, HE’s, etc.
Witnessing testing and commissioning of the mechanical works. Assisting with the final inspection of the work and to monitor completion of the work.
Studying and reviewing engineering drawings such as (MEP) Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, etc.
Having comprehensive approach in delivering key results with plant energy conservation and cost effectiveness.
Installation and designing of various BMS system namely Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens & Rockwell.
Handling the entire project from estimating to commissioning phase.
Participates in initial job site walk through with contractors and/ or building management.
Designs building automation systems for large and/ or complex buildings such as Hospitals (or) Laboratories consisting of mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, bill of materials, sequence of operations, valve and damper schedules, and DDC panel layouts to meet the intent of the project plans.
Designs mainly large complex building automation network architecture to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, third-party integration devices connected through Ethernet, BACNET IP/MSTP, or MODBUS.
Provides coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers and System Designers. Provides technical assistance to subcontractors. Ensures that delegated tasks are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of the contract.
Provides start-up and checkout documentation for use in commissioning and validation.
Responsible for Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Testing, Adjusting and Balancing,
Preparation of controller point schedule and selection of proper field controller for the system.
Installation, qualification & commissioning (Point to point) of whole BMS System.
Communication with suppliers for materials procurement, sourcing and vendor identification.
Provides high quality written communications. Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Johnson Controls standards
Maintenance of HVAC Equipments including AHU, Dehumidifier, Exhaust System, Chiller, Cooling Tower, Heat Pump, HE’s, etc.
Maintaining the log sheet of the HVAC equipments as per the SOP and standards.
Performing Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PMP) as per the schedule.
Formulation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) & Implementation statements for engineering activities.
Log books & event management. Organizing Investigation of major breakdown through Fish Borne Analysis.
Validation activates i.e., Air change profile, HEPA Integrity test, Non-viable particle count, temperature trending, room pressures and air flow patterns
To improve the process zone with zero deviations and by following TPM, cGMP and various other techniques.
Preparing Comparison statements for received quotations. Calling Vendors to finalize the orders.
Complete Project site execution within stipulated parameters of Design, Scope, quality and safety.
Handover of the Project with proper training & documentation with manufacturing start up in the facility.
Carrying out the regular preventive maintenance works, Break down Maintenance works of all the equipment and supervising for regular machinery log books updation.
Coordinating with Quality Department for various kinds of issues related to Validation, Documentation and Qualifications.
Integration of BMS system with various controllers as per the requirement and programming the logic.
Studying and reviewing engineering drawings such as (MEP) Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, etc.
Installation and commissioning of new AHU, Chiller, Cooling Towers and associated piping, ducting and automation for building management system.
Strictly following the CGMP guidelines and safety procedures of the organization in HVAC and training the technicians technically for efficient operation of HVAC system.
