 Observed and took part in the testing of high power transformers ranging from 25kVA to 1000kVA. Tests were routine and type tests.
 Testing of CT`s, PT`s, Relays (Overcurrent, Differential & Distance) and CB`s etc.
 Testing of the transmission cable`s insulation and its strength.
 Carried out transformer fuse`s cutout pullout tests.
 Carried out CB tests for vacuum, oil and SF6 breakers.
 Understood the system installed on field. i.e. LV(132kV) and the HV(220kV) side of the substation.
 Learnt about GIS switchgears and its advantages as well as applications.
 Learnt maintenance routine of the protection equipment. On field as well as from the panel side.
 Understood the line diagrams and their application on the actual system.
 Dealing with load shedding schedules and maintaining their records.
 Communicating with the other substations if any problem occurs in the system and try to identify and remove it at the earliest.
