Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Directed and managed the design with AECOM and SOFCON consultants and construction of maintenance and manufacturing facilities for steam and gas turbines to include combustion, generators, coils, dresser, motors, coating cells, skids, MCS, combustion nozzles, and fuel nozzles in Chili, Nigeria, Iraq, Australia, Saudi, USA and Germany. Defining project goals and developing plans for accomplishing projects to include identifying critical safety, health and related facility interface issues as they relate to project scope, budget and schedule. Defined project scope, including definition of work, site considerations, client needs; solicited approval on scope, budget and schedule, with the GE Energy Management; holds pre-bid conferences; ensured that the project operates within approved budget documents and approves deviations from pre-approved schedule, budget and scope of work; and served as an authority and advisor to management, as well as on program issues, prioritization of project issues, and other matters. Lead an onsite staff of diverse professionals and technicians in monitoring the construction activities of the general contractor, sub-contractors and consultants. Coordination and brief general contractors and steel suppliers the process of tendering, pre-qualification, and quality assurance. Evaluated consultants, general contractors, suppliers to work for GE. Facilities management and acquisition, and construction; physical safety, personnel security; office and administrative services; records management; furniture and office inventories. Strategically manages, budgets, and utilizes the Division's human, financial, and information resources. Ensured that customer expectations are met and that decisions on program responsibilities produce high-quality results. Lead the negotiation of commercial office space and directs pre-award and post-award activities for services such as architectural, space Leasing and planning to include real estate and banks representatives’ negotiation for loans, leases, and buying properties. Managed international subcontractors to supply and install PA, alarm, security, telecommunication, and IT systems to include inspection, testing and commissioning.
