• Supports the Top Management of AIC in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
• Supports the Top Management of AIC in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
• Assign duties to Project HSE Team including AIC, Contractor and Sub-contractor.
• Review and approve HSE Plan submitted by contractors.
• Prepare Risk Assessments for AIC and review and approve the Risk Assessment submitted by Contractors.
• Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with updates in Legislation and Company Directives.
• Prepare HSE reports for the project on requirement of client, arrange regular safety meetings, committee meetings, Issues Improvement Notices, prohibition notices etc.
• Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
• Conducts Safety Audits both Internal and Second Party.
• Takes part in Accident / Incident Investigation.
• Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
• Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
• Carries out any in-house safety training.
• Liaises between Clients on safety related issues.
• Safety related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
Developing and implanting ARKAN’s EHS Policy, EHS Manual, System of Procedures and HSE
Procedures.
* Designing ARKAN’s Training programs.
* Supervision of ARKAN’s contractors at their workplace.
* Developing ARKAN’s EHSMS (Environment, Health & Safety Management System) and get
approval by LOCAL REGULATORY AUTHORITY and SRA i.e. Abu Dhabi Municipality. EHS
Division.
* Communicating LOCAL REGULATORY AUTHORITY in respect of HSE Matters.
* Ensure that established organization’s EHSMS (Environment, Health & Safety Management
System) reflects the actual working process of an organization /projects.
* Identify aspects and evaluate impacts due to aspects on environment.
* To communicate all departments and top management on HSE Management Programs.
* Setting HSE Objectives and Targets for ARKAN ARCHITECTS CONSULTANTS.
* Setting KPI’s for ARKAN ARCHITECTS CONSULTANTS and evaluate success in achieving its
targets.
* To identify potential emergency situations.
* To develop and simulate emergency plans for ARKAN ARCHITECTS CONSULTANTS.
* To handle the incidents and records details of incidents and reports LOCAL REGULATORY
AUTHORITY.
* To conduct the investigation to determine the causes for incidents.
* Report to Top Management regarding the status of actions taken as well as regarding QHSE
System.
* Ensure that Management meetings are conducted and discussed all the issues related to QHSE
System, and minutes of the meeting shall be recorded.
* To submit reports to top management regarding the performance of the IMS and any need for
improvement by planning and executing internal audits.
CATIC, The Chinese Co. is a China government based company having project of 129 Villas in Baniyas
East Abu Dhabi and I am being working here as a Senior HSE officer from foundation to finishing. We
here successfully completed 3 Million man hours.
Expedite General Contracting is Abu Dhabi based company having many project in Abu Dhabi and
appoint me as a safety officer in two projects i.e. Al Falah 4000 Villas Project (Subcontractor of El Seif).
Completing about 1 Million Man hours safely.
Job responsibilities comprised of followings:
* To Get the Plan from Main contractor and Implement at my site.
* Assist the Main Contractor safety Team.
* Arranging Tool Box Talk at schedule.
* Maintaining Records of HSE.
* Making Risk Assessment for our work i.e. Block work.
