MEP Projects Manager:
• Lead and Communicate with Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule as it pertains to MEP’s.
• Represent the firm with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and the project team members.
• Project Start-Up.
• Review the general contract and contract documents and confirm the budget setup and project milestones in conjunction with Project Lead.
• Create a schedule of values and project logs, plan for project safety and mobilization, including review and validation with team members purchasing process and document control.
• Maintain the busy schedule, write scopes of work, distribute and log subcontracts, write required contract riders and purchase orders, and confirm compliance with project insurance requirements
• Review subcontractor references, obtain Subcontractor bonds, and maintain project files.
• Maintain and manage all purchase and delivery schedules, change order processes, shop drawings, document control logs, Owner, Architect and Subcontractor correspondence.
• Work with Purchasing in setting up/executing trade buyout including: defining scope of work, authoring Exhibit B’s, ensuring scope coverage, coordinating buy and project schedules.
• Meeting Management.
• Attend all schedule and management MEP meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project, chairing as appropriate.
• Financial Management.
• Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and project payroll and maintains best possible cash flow throughout the project, communicating issues proactively.
• Project Closeout
• Deliver all necessary manuals to the Owner, consolidates project documentation and files.
• Manage subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training, and punch list process.
• Deliver all warranties, as-builds and training to the owner
• Manage the MEP project from start to handing over with deep involvement in preparing and updating project plans, guiding and monitoring the execution, ensuring time and cost within estimation, quality and safety as per project specific plans.
• Preparing, reviewing and evaluation of concept design and schematic of projects and MEP facility requirements and to be ensure that the system is in line with project requirements and local authority requirements.
• Actively participate in executive meetings & progress meetings with consultant and architect to discuss about design issues and requirements and taking necessary actions.
• Communicate with main contractor, consultant and the client’s representatives regarding project progress and areas of concern.
• Monitor all works performance to ensure successful delivery of the Key Performance Indicators.
• Monitoring site engineering team to ensure the procurement and project plan is in line with project base line program
• Monitoring the material submittal log, with deep involvement in addressing construction methodology as, Method Statements, Project Quality Plan, and Safety Plan, procurement log to ensure the team is on track based on base line program, Schedules and compliance with project objectives.
• Review and verify the project scope of works and Bill of quantity and provide support to estimate team for pricing
• Identify, highlight and discuss with the client for any issues related to change in scope of works and advise the client of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
• Lead the job's risk analysis and ongoing risk management during the entire project duration.
• Lead the project staff in assessing variations & claims and reporting the technical position of the proposed variations to the client.
• Preparation and raising invoices, variations and claims.
• Co-ordinate ordering of bought-out items, sub-contracted works and sub-contractors.
• Defining roles and responsibilities of staffs.
• Co-ordinate and review staff performance, appraisals, rewards and recognition
• Preparation and submission of closeout documents for the Project.
• Providing task to site team to achieve goal as per base line program.
• Monitoring MEP team works and manpower to ensure which is in line with internal cost plan and program.
• Monitoring site safety plan and program to ensure the team following project safety plan and quality. Monitoring QA/QC engineering documents to ensure which is in line with QA/QC program.
• Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications
• Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
• Providing both leadership and technical advice to project team members
• Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects
• Managing all commercial aspects (contract, invoicing, debt management, client management etc) relating to projects for which responsible
• Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the client to keep informed of all developments associated with the project

Develop LV and MV electrical distribution systems for small to medium size oil and gas processing facilities and plans these systems using recognized industry standards and specifications.
Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power systems - load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, and relay coordination studies.
Perform calculations for cable sizes, cable tray fill/loading, HVAC requirement, UPS loads
Develop test requirements and assist in electrical equipment checkout and start-up.
Review and check all assigned project electrical installation drawings for compliance with all company and project instructions (Single line diagrams, motor schematics, electrical equipment location drawings, hazardous area drawings, installation details, lighting schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder tray layouts, earthing layouts, lighting layouts, etc.) for installation requirements.
Develop documents for electrical distribution systems, lighting, cable and tray etc. request for quotation.
Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of major electrical equipment.
Develop documents for electrical distribution systems, lighting, cable and tray etc. purchase orders.
Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
Work in a multinational team environment spread across 4 countries, Canada, UAE, England and Pakistan.
Interface with other disciplines to develop and incorporate their design within/beside the electrical design.
Develop the skills of junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
