• Responsible to manage and plan preventive and corrective maintenance of ground equipment (06 Reach stacker, 09 Empty handlers and 150 ITV’s)
• Supervising and managing the team of technicians responsible for the maintenance and repair of the equipment, including scheduling and assigning work, providing guidance and training, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Developing and implementing maintenance and repair plans for the equipment, including preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshooting procedures, and repair protocols.
• Monitoring equipment performance and maintenance records to identify trends and areas for improvement, and making recommendations for equipment upgrades, replacements, or modifications as needed.
• Coordinating with other terminal departments and stakeholders, such as the operations team and safety team, to ensure that equipment is available and operational when needed, and that safety protocols are being followed.
• Maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory records, and maintenance logs, and providing regular reports on equipment performance and maintenance metrics to senior management.
• Participating in budget planning and cost control initiatives related to equipment maintenance and repair.
• Use PROACT® Easy RCA to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the underlying causes of equipment failures and improve their reliability and availability.
• Coordinate with Senior manager in the selection of new equipment and provide support to execute capital projects and installation of new equipment.
• Implemented Lean principles to eliminate waste and optimize processes in the maintenance and repair of ground equipment.
• Implementing Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and TPM tools in the maintenance department to optimize processes and improve equipment performance.
• Conducting Gemba walks to observe equipment operation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implementing a Kanban system in the maintenance department to reduce inventory waste and streamline the maintenance process.
• Lead Reliability program for the predictive maintenance activities like the ultrasound, vibration test, oil analysis and structure inspection.
• Assisting manager in preparation of CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Evaluation of quotations and coordination with vendors.
• Ensuring compliance with DP WORLD HSE standards and promoting a safety culture among equipment operators and maintenance technicians.
• Responsible to manage and plan preventive, scheduled and break down maintenance of ground equipment (11 Reach stacker, 7 Empty handlers and 84 ITV’s)
• Hands on experience of, Konecranes & Kalmar Reach Stackers, Terex and Kalmar Empty Handlers and Terberg ITV’s.
• Hands on experience in Diesel Engines Cummins (QSM 11, QSB 6.7) and Volvo (TAD 650VE).
• Power shift transmission trouble shooting and major overhauls which includes (Dana Spicer, TE 30, TE32, ZF 5WG261, TE 13/17and ALLISON 3000).
• Review maintenance schedule generated by MAXIMO.
• Lead Reliability program for the predictive maintenance activities like the ultrasound, vibration test, oil analysis and structure inspection.
• Monitor yard equipment trends to ensure best possible operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime.
• Ensure that all necessary equipment for the operations is available prior to the beginning of the operations.
• Maintain the minimum spare parts inventory while being mindful of budget considerations.
• Perform regular maintenance data analysis and produce breakdown reports.
• Lead, monitor, review and demonstrate safe work behavior and practices.
• Preparation and review of SOPs for operations and maintenance of yard equipment.
• Scheduling and execution of work orders in MAXIMO and updating their status.
• Training and development of maintenance staff.
• Ensure that DP World’s standards &HSE policies legal requirements are fulfilled and implemented.
• Planning and execution of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of 126MW power plant’s static and rotating equipment.
• Managing and maintaining inventory and all other resources for both planned and forced outages.
• Performed and supervised major overhauling of Wärtsilä 18V38 diesel/ HFO engines, MAN Diesel TCA-44 turbochargers, Alfa Laval centrifugal separators.
• Performed and supervised maintenance of power plant auxiliaries including water treatment (RO) units, heat recovery steam generators (water tube boilers), auxiliary fire tube boilers, pumps, compressors and cooling systems.
• Plan to execute daily corrective maintenance jobs on the basis of priority.
• Provide assistance in the analysis of technical problems, propose solutions and manage implementation of corrective actions.
• Measure engine components and parameters during inspection.
• Responsible for execution of work-orders & work-permits.
• Update the status of generated maintenance work orders in CMMS on daily basis.
• Effectively utilize the predictive maintenance tools as part of the condition monitoring activities.
• Improvement and modification Projects.
• Optimize maintenance resources in a cost effective manner.
• Managing inventory, CMMS, daily reports and monthly reports.
• Preparing SOP’s for maintenance staff.
• Preparing JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for maintenance staff.
• HSE implementation and PSSR.
• Understanding the P&IDs of plant including fuel system, lube oil system, cooling water system, air system, steam system and fire-fighting system.
• Understanding of plant operations including startup, shutdown, plant island mode, equipment changeover and condition monitoring.
• Understanding of Fuel and Lube oil Purification units, RO unit, Auxiliary and Waste Heat Recovery Boilers.
• Understanding of Reciprocating compressors and pumps, screw pumps, centrifugal pumps and pneumatic pumps.
• Design and Fabrication of Mobile Floor Hydraulic Crane (FYP). • The objective of this project is to designs the Mobile Floor Hydraulic Crane that lift a load up to 500 kg and manually operated. • Complete CAD Model of Hydraulic Crane was developed using Solidworks and results were verified by ANSYS software
