I joined PwC assurance department as an associate in 2006. I was employed in the consumer industrial products and services group. I now lead teams in audit engagements for listed and unlisted companies in a variety of diversified companies with turnover ranging from US$500 million to US$5 billion.

•Meeting management for planning, execution and finalization of statutory audits and other assignments.

•Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and other reporting deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable frameworks
•Servicing clients with analytical reviews and variance analysis
•Assuming overall responsibility of the audit file, ensuring review points are addressed on a timely basis
•Gained understanding of general accounting systems and packages used (manual/ computerized) and various controls needed for their operations.

After joining KPMG I worked in FAS (Financial Advisory Services) and have been involved in various due diligences (Transaction Services) projects handled by KPMG- Pakistan, which included:
Transaction services
•Auto parts manufacturing Company Pre-deal Buy Side Financial Due Diligence of Mannan Shahid & Co (For Abraaj Capital). In this assignment I assisted the engagement manager in leading through the job particularly focusing on areas like understanding the business of the target, reading and commenting on the key agreements associated to the target, correspondence with the regulators, analysis of revenue and direct costs, analysis of assets and liabilities, as well as preparation and finalization of the report.
Corporate Finance and Other Services
•Business process review of a company in food and beverage sector- Pepsi Co (Riaz Bottlers private limited).
•Housing Society - Compilation of fixed assets record including physical verification of fixed assets as well as selection of accounting policies in line with applicable IFRSs for Defence Housing Authority Lahore.
•Unitech power generation - Providing accounting services to Unitech including preparation of GL, trail balance and Final Accounts
