Job description
•Overall responsible for Finance department functions, group reporting and statutory compliance
•Implementation of financial & supply chain system after mergers in BPCS, Site Rationalization of Glaxo Welcome and SmithKline Beecham
•Direct and control sites’ activities related to Production, operations and supply chain
•Develop Finance & Accounting system ensuring sound system of Internal Control in line with Corporate Governance, SOX, IFRS, GSK group standards and policies
•Responsible for Budgeting and standard preparation process and coordination with Group, Cross functional teams for finalization of Budgets and dissemination of same to Region/Area Finance
•Monitoring the performance of Global Strategic Initiatives like, Operational excellence, Lean Sigma, Network rationalization and logistics, tracking of benefits/synergies
•Supervise & support functions in identifying Business Risk and its mitigation plan (as Risk coordinator for GMS), Business continuity Plan, embedding corporate governance by developing SOP’s, documentation for finance and Non financial areas
•Developed different systems after Merger mainly Standard costing system, General ledger application in JD Edward Financials covering Chart of Accounts, Accounts Payable

•Dealing with Government department for Income tax, Sales tax, excise & customs
•Supervise Group audits, Internal audits and External Audits
•Provide financial expertise, advice and credible input to decisions to the Site Directors, Marketing colleagues, Business managers and business support functions
•Member of Site Leadership teams, Baseline teams for Lean Sigma, Operational excellence and cross functional project teams for system improvements, minimizing waste in processes and increasing productivity and implementing Quality Management System
•Manage & evaluate different investment & CAPEX decision proposals for expansion, replacement etc for manufacturing facilities for approvals
•Support legal department for registration, pricing and approvals from MOH for New products to be manufactured locally
•Support procurement in Procurement finance areas to meet group task, setting standard prices for next year and procurement excellence projects
•Support Supply chain function for setting stock level policy for material availability, products supplies to market, production planning and optimal resource utilizations

• Process improvement of manufacturing & Supply chain achieving saving of 5 million pounds
• GMS Excellence & Recognition Awards, regional award in the category of Performance & Improvement for work on Accounting Process Improvement
• Multiple cash awards for special assignments of implementation of Dashboard Reporting, Financial Systems, Group Unison reporting and ERP systems
• Played key role in Site rationalization, product transfers, head count reduction and lean processing
• Supervise and participate in the Plant capital expenditure proposal, UK group approval and commissioning of US $ 1.3 billion PKR for Antibiotic product transfer from Landhi location to SITE factory
• Implement risk management system, reporting across the organization at country level and regional level and raised more than 100 critical risk area and suggested risk mitigation plan, and BCP Plan
• Implement KANBAN system in GSK Supply Chain and value Stream mapping of product lines of sourcing, planning, production and Warehousing
• Written more than 50 Standard operating procedures for various functions and processes
