Responsibilities
• Conducts search and rescue operations when casualty trapped in Dubai Electricity and Water Authority plant using Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Attends to chemical spillages and contain the spillage in the chemical warehouses using Level A suits and other spillage control suits.
• Responds to fire calls and extinguish fire using appropriate medium in labs and clean rooms
• Conducts fire investigations and identify the cause of fire and provide evidence.
• Provides first aid at emergencies to preserve life and promote quick recovery.
• Testing and checking fire equipment to ensure they are ready for use during emergencies
• Reports defects on fire fighting equipment timeously to supervisors
• Manning control room and receiving fire calls and dispatching fire engines
• Conduct public education and community fire safety education to foster hazard
mitigation methods.
• Carry fire safety inspections within buildings to minimise unsafe acts and unsafe conditions within the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority plant.
