• Responsible for routine /corrective maintenance substation control system deployed in more than 400 substations (of voltage level up to 400kV) and also to attend the faults and trouble shooting.
• Coordination between companies sections/units to solve field issues
• Preparing Scope of work for SCS/RTU obsoleted upgradation tenders, and performing technical evaluation for tenderer offers.
• Completing SCS/RTU configuration/testing for KM in-house bays replacement
• Carrying out factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT)
• Maintain understanding of future direction of application system technologies/products
• SCS software verification and taking/restoring SCS project and system images backups
• Attending TOC and FAC Inspection for the commissioned Substation SCS/DCS System for Defect Clearance and Processing of Hard and soft copies of TOCs/FACs.
• Coordinating project works, checking and commenting design and As-Built drawings & project documentations, Review of Spare Parts, overseeing of project commissioning, testing and commissioning of In-House Projects along with the contractor's Team.
• Preparation of Telecontrol Annual Maintenance Plan, Daily Activity/Job Instruction for Senior Technician Telecontrol for Routine Maintenance and Fault Attendance in accordance with ISO9001 standards Requirements.
• Assessing/Interviewing Contractor’s SCADA/SCS Engineers for Authorizing for Safety Document, Reviewing Method Statement for Works under Live SCADA/SCS Systems & Issuing LOA’s.
• Working knowledge of industry protocols: IEC101; IEC104; IEC61850; IEEE C.37.118;LON;SPA…etc
• Spares testing and material work ordering .
• Verification and Following up of Fault reports with Other Departments/Contractor’s prepared during Routine Maintenance and Fault Attendance in accordance with ISO Requirements.
• Saving company resources by fixing Ruggedcom RX100/1200 and Mienberg MS300 CF corruption, and virtualization solution for obsoleted SCS system with WIN NT and WIN 2000.

• PMU N60 Configuration and IEEE C.37.118 Protocol trouble shooting
• Availability off-hours and weekend calls
• Emphasize functionality, reliability, and availability of supported systems
