Key Accountabilities: Working in the capacity of Emergency Response Team Supervisor (Terminal1), Fire Operations Control Center Supervisor as well as Fire Operations Control Center Alarm Operator:
• Terminal Operations: Coordinating day-to-day operations of terminal facilities, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and passengers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize terminal layouts, improve traffic flow
• Crowd Management: Developing & implementing comprehensive crowd management plans to maintain order and safety during peak periods.
• Crowd Surveillance: Monitoring the movements of pilgrims and passengers within the terminal, utilizing surveillance systems and reports to identify and address potential crowd issues proactively.
• Efficient Flow Control Implementation: Managing the flow of pilgrims and passengers, implementing effective strategies to control movement and prevent congestion. Also, coordinating the pedestrian and bus traffic for a seamless experience
• Effective Communication Practices: Communicating movement instructions and safety guidelines clearly and promptly to pilgrims and passengers. Utilizing signage & various communication tools for efficient crowd guidance
• Crisis Communication Planning and Execution: Developing a comprehensive crisis communication plan to address unforeseen challenges promptly. Keeping stakeholders informed through effective communication channels during critical situations
• Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans: Developing & refining plans for handling emergencies, including medical incidents or evacuations
• Crowd Behavior Analysis: Analyzing crowd behavior thoroughly to anticipate trends and proactively address potential issues. Utilizing insights gained to enhance overall crowd management strategies
• Staff Training in Crowd Management and Emergency Procedures: Ensuring that staff members are well-trained in crowd management techniques and emergency procedures to handle various situations effectively
• Emergency Evacuation Assistance: Assisting in evacuation operations, guiding travellers and lounge workers to the nearest emergency exit as per the Emergency Plans Procedures Manual; providing aid to individuals with special needs, the elderly, and children during evacuation
• Team Training and Drills: Conducting regular training sessions and drills for airport fire and rescue teams, focusing on specialized skills required for aircraft emergencies, structural fires and other aviation-related incidents
• Community Outreach: Engaging in community outreach programs to educate airport staff, airline personnel, and the public about fire safety in aviation and emergency evacuation procedures
Noteworthy Accomplishments:
• One of the inaugural team members involved in the successful launch of the new King Abdulaziz Airport lounge
• Conducted comprehensive training sessions for staff, focusing on hall operations and response methodologies, while strategically identifying swift response routes for optimal emergency management
• Steered initiatives in providing inspiration and motivation to first responder teams, fostering a proactive and resilient mindset in dealing with emergency scenarios
