Mad Solutions is a leading Arab company specialising in integrative marketing and creative consultancy for the Arab film and Entertainment Industry. My duties as an editor and copywriter include the following:
Writing various types of content like features, press releases, articles and in-depth critic articles analysing different forms of artwork, in addition to research work.
Reviewing scripts (Film and TV) in both Arabic and English, and writing reports for the benefit of our clients.
A member of the Distribution Selecting Committee, which reviews all films and projects pitched to the company or the company is seeking to acquire its rights, and I write detailed reports on each project.
Covering Arab participation in major international film festivals.
Conducting marketing strategies for our clients, whether it was a movie star, filmmaker, or a whole project both in the film and TV industries.
InterRegional for Strategic Analysis is a multi-tasking general consulting firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I’ve been working as a freelance translator, where my duties include translating specialized content (Books, Academic articles, research papers..etc).
I’ve been working for the Cairo International Film Festival for the last 5 years in different positions where my duties included the following:
As the editor-in-chief of the festival’s catalogue, I’ve been responsible for gathering all the festival’s data (films, filmmakers, awards, publicity materials ..etc) and editing all the content of the catalogue for both the printed edition and the official website.
Translating content from English to Arabic (film synopsis, filmmakers' bios, editorials ..etc)
Writing critical articles for the festival’s bulletin.
Conducting interviews and running Q&A sessions with the festival’s guests.
I’ve been working as an Arabic Publication Editor at El Gouna Film Festival for the past two years, and my duties included the following:
Gathering all kinds of material for the festival’s publications, website and various social media platforms.
Editing and writing different kinds of material and content for the festival’s publications.
Translating content from English to Arabic (film synopsis, filmmakers' bios, editorials ..etc)
I’ve worked as a translator for Bibliotheca Alexandrina where I’ve published two books of my translation: “Environment, Climate Change and International Relations” and “Research Perspectives On Online Radicalisation”, both of with are available on the official website of Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
I studied economics and political science at Cairo University where I conducted several academic researches and was involved in lots of projects on social science and social activities.
