Translates text, audio, and video information. Conducts consecutive, accurate written translations, and summarizations of material (textual, video, and audio) into idiomatic English, to include the ability to maintain the integrity and meaning of materials. Adheres to standards for transliteration.

Responsible for working on assignments both from my region and internationally
Managing, directing translation teams sporadically.

Read and review document before and after translation.
Analyze and check input data before processing and upon collecting.
Compare, correct, and amend drafts before submitting and/or releasing.
Comment on analyses and reports from media and other departments.
Native Arabic speakers who have excellent English-language speaking, writing, and translation capabilities; strong critical thinking skills; in-depth regional/cultural expertise about the Middle East and North Africa; good Internet research capabilities; the ability to transcribe audio material; and the ability to work accurately under pressure. I locate, monitor, select, and translate/transcribe information to create a variety of different products. I possess previous experience working in traditional and non-traditional media (e.g., radio, TV, newspaper, press agency, Internet, databases) or journalism.
I conduct Internet research and media monitoring to provide translations and transcriptions of textual material, audio and video material, social media, and other openly available sources of information in standard, idiomatic English to support customer requirements. Moreover, I provide clear and succinct gists and summaries that extract key information. I am able to perform all requirements remotely and with minimal supervision. I also have the ability to incorporate graphical materials into finished products. I am required to conduct research on openly available sources of information and to acquire information from non-traditional sources.
