Project: DS197/1 Sewerage/Storm System for Interconnection Developed Communities in Jebel Ali Area to DM Networks
Responsibilities
- Manage the survey team (20 Surveyors) for an excellent/quick performance at a site consisting of 60 KMs of Sewerage /Storm-water utilities, roads and landscape; plus two pump stations.
- Check/review the topographic survey taken by the subcontractor surveying company to determine the tunnelling and open-cut zones.
- Follow up with Project Director and Engineering Manager parallel with the consultant to get the approved drawings; and then direct the team to reflect all of the infrastructure networks at the site.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the Senior/Junior Surveyors to ensure the accuracy/alignment of the pre/post of the NDRC and NDM pipe tunnelling of the site collected data and the required surrey activities at the site.
- Prepare topography and survey shop drawing submittals and support drafting section to find out any clash with existing utilities and extracts required data to make a site trial trenches.
- Prepare chambers/manholes cover levels calculations and as per road design, existing utilities and landscape and then submit to the local authorities for approval.
- Support the draftsman surveyor to extract all survey data (coordinates, alignments, slops, levels) by Civil 3D, CAD, Excel and Arc GIS.
- Provide site grading, roads layout and elevations of individual items (sub-grade, sub-base, road base and wearing course.)
- Contributes to the technical team to develop the traffic diversions routes.
- Assist the NOC department to get the required NOC’s by conducting technical meetings with the Engineer and the geophysical investigation contractor to create a plane to achieve the Pre Drive Levels and the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) prior to driving the tunnel.
- Solve the technical/ issues with the client to expedite the pace of work.

Responsibilities :

• Conducts site inspections with RTA consultants to evaluate the site condition .
• Conducts assessment test in order to evaluating surveyors of consultants/Contractors.
• Verifies and issues chambers/manholes cover levels coming in RTA right of way to contractor/ consultants.
• Reviews profiles of roads, bridges and utilities submitted from consultants.
• Verifies and approves all submitted survey drawings/reports from consultants.
• Hands over control points/ benchmarks to consultants and follow up projects

 Undertake surveying works associated with horizontal and vertical alignment for all civil and finishing works.
 Undertake any other surveying tasks within the field of construction.
 Coordination with Local Authorities to obtain Demarcation Certificate
 Check final field notes for clarity and accuracy, and completes transmittal forms.
 Submit final survey report including maps for Government approval.
 Understand and observes all safety practices.
