Construction of Infrastructure for Residential Area at KATARA CULTURAL VILLAGE PHASE-3 DEVELOPMENT, DOHA, QATAR

Project Description: Underground Switching Station including all 11kV HV Switchgears, Incoming 11kV 3Cx240mm2 HV Cables, FO Pilot cables, Network Protection Scheme, Control Panels and Cables, SCADA system including controls and cables, marshalling boxes, 11kV cable joints, Cable Tiles, Cable Trenches, Cable Ladders, Cable Trays, Excavation and backfilling materials, cable markers and tapes, and termination of the said cables in the switching station.
17 no’s fully underground indoor 11/.433kV substations including 11kV Switchgears, 1600kVA dry type transformers and 2500A-6way/400A distribution feeder pillars complete with required HRC fuses and cable termination facilities.
Fully underground indoor Q-Tel rooms.
11kV cable connections from switching station to 11/.433kV underground stations, including all interconnection power cables, control cables and earthing cables.
Low voltage cabling and connections from 11/0.433kV underground substations to special custom made villa service cabinets, Underground storage facility buildings, gatehouses, Q-Tel rooms, landscape lighting feeder pillars and pump rooms.
Testing and Commissioning of the entire electrical and fire alarm systems for all buildings including 11kV switching station, underground substations and underground Q-Tel rooms.
Testing and commissioning of Landscape Lighting includes Lighting feeder pillars, landscape luminaries, Low voltage cabling and connections from 11/0.433kV underground substations to lighting feeder pillar, low voltage cabling and connections from lighting feeder pillars to luminaries, Earthing and grounding system, Protective relays / protection system, Control system, Control Cables.
Development comprising of 34 no’s 1600kVA dry type transformers with 17 no’s 11/0.433Kv underground indoor substations of which 9 no’s located in the southern precinct and 8 no’s in the northern precinct. The project worth of QR2 billion.

Responsibilities/Tasks: Be familiar with IMS Manual, Procedure and Project Quality Plan. Initiate changes to PQP with respect to change in scope of work, project delay and any other criteria. Preparation of ITP’s & Identify requirements of new ITP’s, QC procedures and develop the same in coordination with HO. Monitor use of controlled copies of latest versions of drawings, documents in use in the projects. Periodically create awareness to the personnel on IMS. Inform HO on audits through Project Manager as per schedule. Follow up for close out of Corrective Action Requests. Identify non conformities related to all processes including documentation & records. Monitor activities right from Receipt, in process up to final inspection and identify & record the non conformities if any. Ensure identification and traceability in all stages. Identify customer supplied product and facilities and ensure proper control of the same. Monitor material handling and storage. Monitoring and Measuring Equipment control. Be aware of project management procedure & highlight the lapses in the process. Monitor achievement of quality objectives. Monitor the subcontractor processes and report the lapses to PM/HO. Interact with Manager (QA/QC) for any functional issues. Prepare and submit monthly reports to HO on timely basis.

Project Description: QatarGas Doha HO Building is having 50 floors with basement. The parking Area is separate building interconnected with the tower building at the 5th floor level. This car park building is with a kitchen facility and wide serving Area located on sixth level. The Project scope is to enlarge this kitchen and serving area to cater to 1000+ employees working in the HO building. The project worth of QR28 million.

I worked there till the end of the site and after that they selected me to the maintenance wing. From there Company send me to Jebel ali free zone in a contract with Lipton LLC. After that with a contract with another company Impact Electro Mechanical LLC, I worked at Emirates Tower (office), Mall of Emirates (coffee shop), Green community (Shopping Mall) etc. After that company got contract of Airport Terminal 3 Dubai.
