• Supervision of daily laboratory works, making sure that all works are in order and done accordingly with the required standards.(BS, BS-EN, DIN, QCS, AASHTO and ASTM)
• Responsible for Calibration & Maintenance of equipment or any devices involved in construction material testing.
• Assist the Senior Material Engineer for preparation of programs and activities regarding with the compliance of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ASHGHAL.
• Fresh and hardened concrete testing according to BS EN, ASTM and QCS and other international and local approved standards.
• Test for hardened and fresh concrete samples using fully controlled electrical and computerized machines.
• Rapid chloride penetration test, water permeability, water absorption, initial surface absorption, chloride migration and chloride & sulphate content of both hardened and fresh concrete samples.
• Test for all types of aggregates, sub-bases and subgrades used in in road and structural fill construction. Carry-out field and laboratory testing on the existing compacted materials such as sieve analysis, California bearing ratio, maximum dry density and optimum moisture content relation and atterberg limits etc.
• Analysis of fresh asphalt mixture, sampling and coring for asphalt pavement.
• Summary, plotting and illustration of laboratory test results in tables and charts.
• Geological mapping
• Geological investigation for various projects.
• In charge in test pits sampling, plate bearing or plate load test and dynamic cone penetration test in site.
• Inspection of materials delivered by clients.
• Documentation.
• Inspection of structural and Civil Works as per approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Preparing site memorandum, non-conformance report and other technical correspondence in connection with present project.
• Preparing shop drawings for rebar cutting lists.
• Estimating quantities of construction materials such as reinforcing steel bars, masonry, concrete and finishing hardware materials.
• Supervision of actual installation of reinforcing steel bars, installation of concrete precast and concrete pouring as per approved diagrams.
• Review shop drawings and method statements of the sub-contractors.
• Conduct material inspection ensuring its compliance to approved material submittal prior for usage at site.
• Witness various construction material test such as field density test, compressive strength of concrete cylinder and solid and hollow blocks and tensile and bending test for steel bars.
• Supervision of tiles setting, painting and ceiling works.
• Punch listings.
• Quantity take-off for estimated construction materials.
• Cost control.
• Conduct site inspection for a specific period prior to mobilization.
• Supervise manpower and material deliveries on site to meet schedule or target completion date.
• In-charge for manpower distribution and equipment to support the workforce need for the jobs.
• Prepare status report regarding materials and accomplishment on daily basis.
• Ensure to comply in project specification and standards of material/building construction must be observed.
• Prepare, review and study technical drawings.
• Calculate and estimate required manpower, equipment and construction materials.(Bill of Quantities)
• Supervise actual laying-out and construction of proposed structure at site.
• Prepare necessary requirements for building permit such as floor plans, perspective, plumbing and electricity lay-out.
• Design of structure.
• Prepare technical drawings, floor plans and perspective.
• Design and create steel railings for stair and fences.
• Prepare quantity survey for building construction materials.
