Scope of Work:
Overall responsibility for formulating, managing, controlling and expediting a competent inventory planning, procurement and storage and logistics services in order to provide Blue Bird Aviation with support necessary to ensure a safe and cost effective maintained fleet of aircraft in accordance with airworthiness requirements.
Responsible for:
Ensure timely procurement of aircraft spares and non-aircraft material stock of uniforms, catering items, capital equipment, aircrafts engines, stationary items, Ground Service Equipments, parts, etc. to satisfy Blue Bird Aviation day to day requirements.
Management Responsibilities:
• Provide directions and guidance to the smooth functioning of following:
o Technical Purchasing & Stores
o General Purchasing & Stores
o Purchase Accounts
o Material Planning
o Customs
o Logistics
To formulate and implement efficient, cost effective and reliable purchasing process to meet all company's requirements of aircraft and general materials.
Evolve and implement policies and procedures for proper storage, handling and control of aircraft spares, equipment supplies and other technical materials to support Blue Bird Aviation fleet in accordance with the company procedures, Civil Aviation
Authority.
Evolve and implement inventory control procedures to meet Audit and Policy requirements.
Formulate strategies to optimize company's investments in inventory and procurement services.
• Successfully conceptualized and developed planning and scheduling systems for aircraft maintenance by including A, B, C, and D Checks to better classify maintenance cycles.
• Instrumental role in the optimization of equipment, component and inventory resources, along with the analysis and resolution of schedule deviations / other problems.
• Recognized for consistently achieving all defined KPIs for order management relating to normal, critical, and AOG orders, thus extending able support to aircraft maintenance.
• Deployed high performing inventory control systems, ensured accurate data maintenance in the ERP, and developed reliable solution for record filing.
• Spearheading end-to-end operations of the purchase department, specializing in the procurement of required materials for aviation maintenance.
• Planning various activities related to the material supply chain, and executing them to perfection through a cross-functional team of professionals.
• Extending complete support to the maintenance department, coordinating with the maintenance supervisor to understand spare part and equipment requirement.
• Ensuring safe, reliable, and clean delivery of aircrafts in order to achieve KRAs related to flying schedules, and reporting progress to the senior management.
• Evaluating the performance of the supply chain, assessing potential problems / issues, and finding robust solutions to overcome challenges faced.
• Handling resource allocation, task delegation, and work scheduling within the department, to optimize resource utilization and streamline operations.
• Strategizing workable plans, budgets, and material forecasts for the department, with focus on meeting GSE (Ground Service Equipment) requirements, and achieving maintenance commitments.
• Providing direction and guidance to various other departments including warehousing, shipping, and distribution personnel, as an adjoining responsibility.
• Administering control over all aspects of material receipt, shipment schedules, logistic & transportation, storage, and inventory management.
• Involved in the preparation of status reports of dispatched unserviceable components for repair and overhaul, followed by submission to the senior management.
• Managing supplier and sub-contractors working with the company, assisting them in resolving queries, and streamlining delivery schedules.
• Maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations prescribed by the Civil Aviation Authority while managing bidding and procurement operations.
