Through this programme I gained theoretical and practical knowledge of forensic medical sciences through a wide range of specialist topics related to forensic medical sciences, including, toxicology, injury evaluation and interpretation, autopsies, assessing assault victims, child maltreatment, torture victims, as well as, mass disasters identification and court hearings. As a part of this degree I have also carried out a research project titled: "The occurrence of microorganisms in clothing and their potential value as trace evidence in forensic investigations".

Sept 2009-Jun 2012 BSc (Hons) Forensic Science University of Derby Fully accredited by the Forensic Science Society Endorsed by Forensic Skillsmark This course covered essential forensic practices, including for example: human tissue analysis, hair and fibres, statistics, fingerprints, firearms and ballistics, crime scene investigations, molecular forensic biology and analytical as well as organic forensic chemistry. During this degree I have developed laboratory and field work skills in the field of forensic biology and chemistry, through several biology and chemistry based modules delivered through the course. I have also carried out a laboratory and field based independent study project, which developed confidence in my ability to critically evaluate scientific literature, apply my own learning by designing and carrying out the project, designing a project proposal form which include relevant ethical and health and safety documents, it also developed my organisation skills and time management.
