 Worked on impact evaluations of development interventions, including conditional cash transfers and behavioural change communication, in the MENA region as well as performing analysis of household data to measure health, education and consumption outcomes.
 Analysed data and developed a report from a randomized control trial in Yemen on the impact evaluation of nutrition knowledge training on infant and young child feeding practices, as part of a conditional cash transfers program.
 Co-authored a paper on mother nutrition practices and nutrition training to be published in the Mother and Child Nutrition Journal.
 Co-authored a report on the impact of food and trade policies on obesity, malnutrition and the nutrition transition in the MENA region.

 Developed a research-based policy brief on forecasting food prices in Egypt to enhance social safety nets and provide a basis for impact assessments of subsidy policies.
 Investigated food insecurity and income vulnerability in Egypt, to help develop programmatic interventions addressing urban poverty, child labour, and rural Egypt’s income generating activities in vulnerable communities.
 Analysed food consumption statistics and supported developing and designing programmatic interventions to improve the nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women as well as community school children
 Supported the development of the Egypt Country Strategic Plan (CSP 2018-2022) as part of the CSP Task Force team.
 Designed and conducted statistical analysis training (using STATA) to WFP staff members as part of the staff capacity development plan.

 Provided research support in data analysis and collection for a project analysing the effect of access to micro-loans on the performance of micro-businesses in Upper Egypt.
 Assisted with data collection and data quality evaluation for an EBRD funded project addressing youth and financial inclusion in Egypt.

 Provided macroeconomic analysis and forecasts of foreign direct investment (FDI) in various sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.
 Managed and conducted the data collection for Sharjah’s enterprise-level survey used in the Sharjah Economic Outlook report.
 Co-authored the Sharjah Economic Outlook report in consultation with Dun & Bradstreet and the Financial Times.
 Prepared policy briefs on how ease of doing business, removing administrative hurdles and tax incentives can impact FDI.
 Generated monthly and quarterly forecasts for Sharjah’s CPI and National Accounts using both uni/multi-variate modelling.
 Authored a policy report investigating the economic impact of free zones on Sharjah’s FDI.
 Managed the budget of the newly established R&D department.
 Established the new R&D department and setting forth the guidelines, budget and strategic research contribution plan.

 Assisted with research and editing The Economy of Dubai book published in the Oxford University Press in 2016.
 Co-authored, policy briefs in the fields of real estate economics, macroeconomic forecasting, wealth management, and the securities and commodities markets in Dubai.
 Provided research assistance and data analysis in published journal articles by Elbadawi, Ibrahim in the fields of poverty, real exchange rate misalignment, exports, the macroeconomics of gold, and the analysis of the natural resource curse.
 Provided research assistance and data analysis for the paper: Competitive Real Exchange Rates are Good for the Poor: Evidence from Egyptian Household Surveys, published as an Economic Research Forum working paper in 2015.
