• Process all types of visas including employment visas, residence visas for employees as well as for entertainers ( Tecom & immigration)
• Process and renew of permits and licenses including hotel trade license, liquor trading license, chamber of commerce certificates of registration, civil defense certificate for the hotel, etc.
• Process and renew of entertainers permits/N.O.C through Department of Tourism
• Registration process and renew for all hotel vehicles
• Obtain permits for special promotions such as raffles, publishing or advertisement displays as required
• Process and renew of PRO Card, Immigration Deposit Boxes, etc.
• Maintain and cultivate goodwill and good relationship with Government Departments and Agencies
• Be up to date with regard to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures and keep the Human Resources Department advised of such changes
• Submit relevant documents periodically to the immigration / labour office with regard to cancelled / absconding employees and delete from the hotel’s sponsorship list
• Complete departure and exit formalities for employees after cancellation of visas
• Obtain quarterly sponsorship reports from the immigration / labour office and tally sponsorships and re-submit to immigration / labour office with relevant support document

Responsibilities: • Update in the Police computer details of all in house guest that stays in our hotel
• Ensures that the passport scanning is done correctly by Front Desk and Guest Relations staff, highlighting any mistakes to the Front Office Manager
• Ensures that the updating of the information is done in a timely manner and that backlog at the Front Desk and Guest Relations are kept to the minimum
• Ensures accuracy in inputting the details in the Police computer as per the standard established by the Dubai Police
• Checks and ensures that the total guest count in the police system corresponds with that in Opera PMS at all times. Differences can only be temporary, must be investigated, followed up and resolved immediately.
• Completes all filing of the documents in a neat and orderly manner
• When assigned to man the lobby to assist in luggage and Guest Relations, we respond to all manners of inquiries regarding hotel facilities and room features
• Provides courteous service and responds promptly to guest requests and complaints
• Develops a thorough knowledge of room rates, room locations, type of rooms
• Maintains a clean, pleasant and neat image to guests at all times
• Attends daily briefing and provides feedback on the shift's occurrences
• Attends regular departmental meetings and provides input to improve departmental operations and services to guests
• Assists the Telephone Operator in answering the calls whenever required
