Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assess patient's needs, observe their response to interventions and to alert the physician accordingly.

8. Be a part of nursing care team by fulfilling own duties, seeking assistance when needed and willingly helping out others.
9. Communicate effectively with patient, family physicians and allied health professionals.
10. Anticipate any emergency situation in daily activities with patient, set priorities and exercises good judgment in handling issues.
11. Assist in the provision of a safe environment for patient and staff by being alert to safety.
12. Utilize equipment, supplies and medications in a cost-effective, responsible manner.
13. Responsible for on going professional development through identifying own learning needs.
14. Assists in the orientation of new staff in assuming the preceptor role.
15. Demonstrate respect for the cultural differences.
16. Perform any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills and experience as required by the chief nurse.
