After participating in the bid process for more than 5 months, ASU won the bid for the Front of House, Show and Animal Lighting Package the value of the package exceeded 150M AED.

My role is to drive the project into success, coordinate with prominent international specialists, follow up the technical procurement process and make sure to achieve a winning formula for the company by getting the best out of the resources I have.

The project is unique and one of a kind in the region and it is a big boost to my experience.

ASU (www.asu.ae) is the MEP subsidiary of ASGC Group that can handle most of
the construction cycle in-house, giving it a high degree of control on all projects. Presently,
ASU is one of the leading MEP contractors working on independent projects in addition to
ASGC projects.

My role in the estimation department involves technical study for the projects prior to do a
detailed breakdown for cost estimation for materials and labour as per the bill of quantities.

The scale of the projects that ASU works on is always challenging and considered the high-
end in the market.

A&P Group of Companies (www.aandp-group.com) is a leader in MEP construction industry with more than 8, 000 employees across GCC countries, Cyprus, Jordan and the UK. I was appointed in the technical site office for City Centre Al Zahia Shopping Mall project in Sharjah, UAE (https://www.alzahia.ae/).
My role involved on-site engineering including preparing material submittals, raising RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, issuing site orders and material schedules, coordinating with the main and other sub-contractors’ engineers, attending meetings with the consultant, suppliers, main contractor and the client in addition to supporting site engineers.
Further to my engineering role above I was also given the task to deliver the MEP works for 350 retail units to the tenants and their fit-out contractors along with the main contractor’s Tenant Liaison Manager.

NAGA Architects (www.naga.ae) is multi-disciplinary planning and architecture design firm that revolves around the urban environment.
I was appointed in the MEP design team and I’ve worked on designing various types of projects in the UAE and KSA during my time including residential, commercial and hospitality developments. In my time working with NAGA I became a professional REVIT user and I learned about many aspects within design technologies. Its also was my first job in the UAE and I had the chance to absorb the local regulations and liaison to authorities such as DEWA and Etisalat.

alnasser+partners (www.alnasserpartners.com) is an architectural design and
consulting firm, providing a comprehensive range of architectural design and engineering
services that include interior design, landscaping and planning. I worked mostly in design
department within an enthusiastic team on various projects in Jordan and GCC countries,
and partly on supervision for local projects.
Core Skills
From Consultancy and Design Experience:
Electrical services design from concept stage through detailed design and up to
construction drawings including:
o Create concept reports and load estimation for the projects at their concept stage.
o Lighting design, selection of fixtures and calculations.
o Power systems design including; cable sizing, cable tray sizing, distribution Boards
design, UPS, mechanical services supply, single line diagram, main and sub electrical
rooms design and substation design.
o Telecommunication system design according to international standards and service
provider standards.
o Fire detection and alarm system design in addition to emergency and exit lighting
system design and central battery system.
o ELV systems design including access control, CCTV and other security systems.
o Lightning protection.
o Coordination with Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Interior Designers and any other
discipline to come up with well-coordinated design.
o Obtaining approvals from local authorities such as DEWA, SEWA, Etisalat, Du and Civil
Defense.
o International codes knowledge such as BS, CIBSE and NFPA
From Contracting Experience:
o Raising detailed RFIs and conducting discussions with the consultant.
