 Proactively support businesses in developing applications; assess their due diligence to receive PMDP's grants in line with DFID guidance, and provide technical assistance to ensure that applications from businesses are robust and of high quality.
 Maintain regular communications with the grantees in their portfolios throughout the entire project.
 Monitor progress in implementation and assess the impact of PMDP on the business.
 Support companies by providing, for example, inputs on how to manage the Business Service Providers (BSPs) that work with the company on the project and help in navigating potential pitfalls to work plan achievement.
 Help grantees to:
o Identify and select BSPs according to EC PRAG II requirements;
o Develop Terms of References (ToRs) to engage BSPs;
o Review contractual arrangements between beneficiaries and BSPs;
o Identify additional needed resources and potential pitfalls in implementing their projects;
o Manage relationships with the BSPs;
o Ensure that invoices and reimbursement claims are processed in a timely fashion;
o Oversee grant recipients’ implementation of agreed-on business plans, completing site visits and updating the M&E system with regular reports on progress toward milestones; and
o Update the M&E system to allow for efficient monitoring of grants commitments and disbursements, and ensure that data are correct and complete.
