• Mechanical Project Engineer responsible for:
Detailed study of specifications, drawings, Scope of Work & Applicable standards for mechanical systems in the project (HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing).
Oversee subcontractors and vendors/suppliers performing work on the project for MEP systems (Steam System, Medical Gas System, Pneumatic Tube System, Elevators, Laundry and Kitchen equipment).
Preparing of builders work drawings, Shop Drawings, Composite Drawings & handing over as built drawings & O & M manuals for mechanical systems (HVAC, Firefighting, plumbing).
Preparation of material Submittals and method statements for mechanical systems (HVAC, Firefighting, plumbing).
Technical discussions with project consultant to get approval for shop drawings and equipment.
Technical Calculations for External Static Pressure and Pump Head Loss.
Installation of HVAC equipment, Chillers, Cooling Towers, CHW-CW-HW Pumps, , Pipes, valves, Boilers, Expansion Tanks, Air Separators, Solid Separators, Air handling units, fan coil units, fans & Air Ducts.
Installation of firefighting system, firefighting pumps and pipes.
Execution of plumbing systems (sanitary system, Drainage system, water supply lines and sanitary fixtures).
Preparation of work schedule & Manpower handling, job assignment, Supervision, Directing, Leading & motivating the site labors/ Foremen.
Execute testing & commissioning for mechanical systems and Co-ordination with third party testing and commissioning contractor to complete the air & water balancing of all HVAC systems in entire project up to the level of consultant approval.
Evaluates monthly progress billing & progress reports.
Manage site inspections on regular basis to follow-up on work progress, Checking the quality of workmanship ensuring that work is carried out as per approved drawings, material and work schedule.
Carry out inspections of equipment, material & executed works with consultants.
Coordination with MEP Services & civil construction at site.
Provide advice to the Project Manager in regard to any mechanical services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works
• HVAC Project Engineer responsible for:
Detailed study of specification, drawings, Scope of Work & Applicable standards.
Preparation of Construction Drawings (Shop Drawings) and Submittals.
Preparation of work schedule & mobilization of technicians team at site.
Estimation of tools, hardware and Items to install as per approved Drawings & submittals.
Sending site materials request to purchase department for purchase.
Checking of builders work drawing for the openings.
Installation of HVAC equipment, CHW pipes, CHW pumps, Air handling units, fan coil units, fans, & Air Ducts.
Installation of firefighting system, firefighting pumps and pipes.
Carry out inspections of equipment and material with consultants.
Checking the quality of workmanship in installation of equipment, piping and ducting in various stages to ensure that the work is completed with close co-ordination of other services and with given standards.
Co-ordination with third party testing and commissioning contractor to complete the air & water balancing of all HVAC systems in entire project up to the level of consultant approval.
Floating inspection request to client and consultant.
Coordination with other MEP Services & civil construction at site.
Involved in preparation of handing over as built drawings.
Participate in team meeting, carry out periodic reviews of construction activity, report to project manager any variance between the work constructed & the design intent, present alternative solution if problem arises.
Conducting regular meeting with sub contractors responsible for elevators and fire fighting systems (fm200, co2) to maintain the quality of work and checking schedule dates.
Co-ordination with the sub contractors and bill processing cost evaluation.
• Responsible for Mechanical installations such as diesel engines, propeller shaft, rudder shaft, generators, pumps, compact water treatment station, HVAC system, Fire Fighting System & Plumbing systems for the following projects:
Lady Of The Nile floating hotel.
Nile secret floating hotel.
Nile citadel floating hotel.
Three dumb barges and one pusher for Nile Cargo Co. - Citadel Capital.
• MWD Field Engineer
• Worked on APS positive pulse measurements while drilling equipment in fields for the following companies:
Scimitar with EDC drilling company (Egyptian drilling company).
GPC (General Petroleum Company) with Sinotharwa drilling company.
• Responsible for:
Maintenance and operation of MWD surface systems on rig site.
Generated reports on service performance of equipments.
Ensured that work was done in accordance to Quality System Manual and technical procedures.
Monitored work and enforced all Safety regulations were followed in facility.
Integrated all QHSE requirements in work progress.
Coordinated with company men, drillers and geologists and interpreted data.
• Involved in work shop in maintenance of drilling mud motors.
