Worked as “Senior Design Engineer” in GDMW, Saudi Arab. I had been participating as a team member in designing of more than 100 state of art projects for Saudi Land Forces, Army, Air Force and Navy. Worked as an “Electrical Engineer” for the design of Shahbaz Airbase (PAF) at Jacobabad, Pakistan. The project involved complete master planning and design of Technical and Domestic Area of Shahbaz Air Base, Design of more than 193 type of buildings in the technical area and 27 types of buildings in the domestic Area. Project included Technical Buildings such as Air Craft Hangers, Maintenance Shops, Logs buildings, Armament Buildings, Avionics Buildings, Administration Buildings, Operations Buildings, Armament Storage and Maintenance buildings, Barracks, Residential Quarters, A Type, B Type, C Type Houses, C Type, D Type, E Type Flats, Officers Mess, Mosques, BOQs and Voqs, Auditorium, Shopping Area, Hospital, PAF College, Urdu Medium School, Montessori’s, School for Special Children, Officers Sports facility, Air Men Mess, DSG Mess, Air Men Sports Facilities, Playing Grounds, Children Parks, Golf Course and Club Building and Entrance Gateways

The Shahbaz Air Base is most modern and state of the art Air Base of Pakistan. It has its own Captive Power Generation (Energy Center) which has a cogeneration System, Pressurized Pumping for water supply, Water treatment plant of 1 million gallons per day capacity, Sewerage treatment plant for the entire base etc. Shahbaz Air Base is one of the largest projects in Pakistan and the work had been carried out on an extremely fast track basis. The total area of the site is 4200 Acres.

I have been member of the design team who undertook complete design of:

MV/LV Networks including Energy Center (Captive Generation)
Transmission Networks
LV Distribution System
Outdoor Distribution System
Indoor Distribution & Control in compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, UL and other codes
Indoor distribution systems with in the technical buildings on 50 Hz, 60 Hz and 400 Hz frequencies
9 emergency generators localized in specific premises on the base ranging from 100 kVA to 600 kVA
Interconnection of energy center with the national grid with synchronizing provision for load shifting with out interrupting the facilities
Short circuit level of whole base @ 380/220V 50 & 60 Hz, 208/120 50 Hz, 60 Hz and 400 Hz)
Communication Facilities Design
Approval of all electrical material in line with the applicable standards and contract specification
Review of the shop drawings in line with the IFC

I was specially assigned on site to resolve the Design Issues on site during the Construction in order to meet the challenging accomplishment targets. I successfully completed this assignment on site with full satisfaction of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), US Defense Department and other concerned entities.

I had an opportunity to Work as “Electrical Engineer” under the direct guidance & supervision of highly experienced & professional staff members. It helped me in augmenting my abilities related to Contract Management and understanding the Commercial parameters in the Construction & Consultancy Industry. Under the direct supervision of Technical Director, my Job responsibilities included as under:

Coordinating with M/s Scott Wilson UK, in carrying out the feasibility studies of 600 MW Azad Pattan Hydro Power Project, a project of Alamgir Group

Prepared & executed the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for the Construction, Erection & Commissioning Works of 231 MW Thermal CCPP of M/s Saif Group in order to achieve the jobs (Construction, Erection & Commissioning) done with in allocated time slots in coordination with M/s China East Resources Import & Export Corp (CERIECO), main EPC Contractor of said project.

Completion of Design Engineering Part of Battar Hydro Power Project in association with Project Consultant "NESPAK"

Procurement of E&M Equipment for different projects, technical evaluation of offers & finalization of back-to-back Subcontract with manufacturers

Prepared & submitted the Pre-Qualification Documents to WAPDA for Phandar & Basho Hydro Electric Projects in consortium with Genivar Canada.

Arranged financing of CAD $136.5 million from EDC (Export Development Canada) for aforementioned projects.

Prepared the Technical & Financial Proposal of 200 MW Thermal Power Project to be implemented on rental basis in Faisalabad - Sattiana road.

Worked as Trainee Electrical Engineer in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Department of 44MW Nishat Power Plant, located at Chunnian feeding 7 Textile Mills. It comprised of Gas Engine Generator, Diesel Engine Generators, and HFO Engine Generators sets, MV Rooms, LV Rooms, Motor Control Centers, Centralized Chillers, Centralized Heat Recovery Boilers, RO Plant, MV underground Feeders & O/H Transmission Lines and Stand-by Generators. My job responsibilities included as under:

Participating in preventive maintenance & troubleshooting all electrical failures.
Dismantling, Erection & Commissioning of 1 Nigata HFO Engines (16V32CLX, 5.3 MW)
Energy billing, Generation Duty Monitoring, Gas billing.
One line drawings preparation including Generation & Transmission network for aiding operational staff.
