I am responsible for the successful implementation of IM’s programme in Jordan, and for the overall operational and strategic planning, country budget and development of work in the country.

Key areas of responsibility
• Responsible for development of country strategies and annual operational plans in line with regional strategies and IMs Strategic Platform. Ensuring the relevance of IM’s portfolio of partner organisations and the efficient and effective achievements of results.
• Promoting IM’s partners’ change agendas and ensuring capacity building and organisational development of partner organisations.
• Leading IM’s external networking and coordinating with development actors, donor organisations and other stakeholders.
• To work actively with resource mobilisation
• Developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting programmes and operational plans by upholding an efficient and results-based PME-system. Ensuring adequate processes and practices for financial management and internal control. Ensuring that the operations, systems and routines at the office comply with internal and external requirements, including legal framework.
• Responsibility to contribute to cooperation, coordination, and organisational learning for IM in the region
• Responsibility for donor coordination and networking with other development actors in the country
• Managing the office including division of roles and responsibilities, supervision of staff, capacity development, and work environment. Responsibility includes inspiring and leading staff to work towards common goals and contributing to the organisational learning and development of IM.

Gender Justice Project Manager at Oxfam GB

I was responsible for the technical inputs and management of the gender projects in Jordan as well as leading on establishing and maintaining relationships with women's rights organisations, local government and non-governmental partners and ensuring that gender projects are effectively implemented on time in a quality manner, according to budget and in line with donor and partner agreements.

DIMENSIONS:
• Take overall responsibility for managing stand-alone gender projects in Oxfam Jordan;
• Represent Oxfam in coordination meetings and build strong positive and strategic relationships with women's rights networks and organisations, NGOs and government partners;
• Facilitating programme specific research, knowledge sharing and partnerships;
• Lead on the development of funding proposals related to gender;
• Closely monitors the projects’ expenditures through review of budget, financial reports, requests for fund transfer in order to ensure that they comply with the agreed budget, that available resources are utilise to maximum effect, that financial targets are met, and that adequate financial rules are followed;
• Ensures the timely development and implementation of results-based annual work plans (AWPs) with team and implementing partners;
• Responsible for ensuring coherent and effective project implementation using a results oriented approach that incorporates creativity, innovation, and responsiveness to emerging practical and strategic gender needs;
• Impact and influence of the job is mostly within the job holder’s own programme unit i.e. country/region but occasionally also in other parts of the affiliate and/or with an external audience.
• Programmatic plans and objectives are developed to contribute to country, region and broader gender programmatic strategies and can involve collaboration with other programme units;
• Ability to analyse and communicate complex information to a wide audience both internal and external;
• Leadership and decision-making capacity using judgement based on technical and management experience, generally actively supported by line management or the programme team.

Regional Program Coordinator at ActionAid /Arab Regional Initiative.

ActionAid Arab Region Initiative (ARI) is currently operates from its regional headquarters in Amman with programs in Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia & Morocco . ActionAid is working to enhance the power of civil society organizations, youth movements, and activist groups in order for them to become stronger drivers of change. (ARI) is providing tailor-made trainings within areas such as activism, leadership, documentary filmmaking, campaigning, and democracy. (ARI) is building young people’s capabilities to become active citizens in their communities, so that young women and men are able to take action and push for change at a decision-making level.

Program Management:

•Manage the programme’s engagement with youth involvement in change processes in the region.
•Identify and map of potential strategic partner CSO’s, youth organizations and informal youth groups.
•Develop partnerships and manage relations with youth organizations, youth projects and initiatives.
•Support youth groups and their initiatives.
•Ensure timely planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities, keeping with budget.
•Maintain all project administration and ensure partner compliance with partner agreements.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and contractual obligations.
•Monitor and evaluate on-going projects.
•Contribute to the strategic planning of the program.

Human Resources Management:

•Promote the use of inspirators (short-term technical human resource support) to support the program and develop TORs for placement of inspiratory with local partner organizations.
•Manage introduction, handing over and conclusion of inspirators and internships.
•Provide inspiring and supportive leadership to partner in the implementation of the program and build a collaborative, open and trusting environment among the partners.
•Facilitate entry and security for all guests, trainers and other individuals visiting Jordan as part of the program.

Finance management:

•Ensure effective, transparent and accountable finance procedures and controls.
•Ensure that donor obligations are met.
•Monitor and report on budget expenditure on a quarterly basis.
•Manage office administration and finance.

Reporting:
•Prepare quarterly progress and yearly status report.

Regional Project Manager at Handicap International

I am responsible of managing the following project entitled : "Visible, Active, together: Increasing the participation of the People with Disabilities in the Middle East .

This project is a regional initiative, with activities primarily based in Jordan, Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip) and Lebanon. The project aiming at supporting organizations of persons with disabilities, with the intention of institutionalizing capacities and working on capitalizing empowered DPO members to advocate and lobby for disabled people’s rights at both the national and regional levels.

Handicap International is working regionally through its Regional Programmer in the Middle East since 2002.
