- Researched, designed and developed System Test (QA) Plans and Procedures for testing of Ulticom’s Signalware SS7, SNR (STP, Edge-STP, LB, SGP), SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter and BSF (ePASS) fault-tolerant stacks in UNIX and Linux environments, such that Customers can easily incorporate Ulticom’s stacks and interoperate in multi-vendor environment.

- Successfully performed System Level (QA) testing of several Diameter related interfaces, Cx, Sh, Ro, Rf, Rq, Rx, Gq, Zh and Zn used in different entities of IMS networks.
- Successfully performed System Level Testing of several Signalware SPs and features, IN2SIP Gateway, Add/Delete Logical Nodes, SIP (features: Refer, Update, Events, PRACK Methods, MIME, Virtual IP and SIP-T), M2PA, M2UA, M3UA, CE-Sync feature (testing in different configurations of MTP/SCCP/TCAP, MTP/ISUP, MTP/TUP, M3UA, SUA, M2PA and SIP), SNMP, LM, Duration, Extreme Ops and Performance of Single, Dual and Quad CEs with increasing effectiveness of call processing and signaling over IP as well as over traditional SS7 network.
- Supported ongoing Quality and TL9000 objectives of the Ulticom’s QA.

- Supported Siemens for on-site live upgrades of Ulticom’s PC200 RoHS boards in several sites in Pakistan.
- Worked as a consultant on designing, developing and testing of Commission Report Generator and Invoice Report Generator using Visual Basic’s object-based approach in Visual Studio 6.0 on Windows 2000 Platform.
- Responsible for gathering requirements from the client, designing the user interface, coding of the foreground and background processes and testing of the report generators.
- Researched, designed, developed and tested data communications/telecommunication systems’ call processing and network management software for SS7 Gateway (Single and Dual CE), a main component in Softswitch, using C/C++ object oriented approach in real time multithreaded UNIX environment.
- Responsible for reviewing System Functional Specifications, writing Component Functional Specifications, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Prototyping, Coding, Unit Testing (including creating Test Plans), and Integration Testing with high level of success in achieving delivery dates for call processing features and SNMP interface to SS7 Gateway for VoIP and RAS.
- Features involved SS7 Gateway using ISUP, ISDN, Q.931, Q.930, Q.921, TCAP, SCCP and AIN standards, inter-working with TC1000/TC2000 MG, MGC, SIP Proxy and BES. Protocols used were MGCP, H.248, SIP, H.323, with increasing effectiveness of call processing and signaling.
- Developed SNMP Agent and implemented MIBs and APIs in processes for managing SG (Signaling Gateway) with increasing effectiveness and easy to manage using SNMP Managers.
- Applied Client Authentication on SG allowing only authorized SNMP Managers to manage SG using socket programming, IPC mechanism and storing the authorized Managers’ IP addresses in ACL of SG.
- Implemented MML/CLI and SNMP support for SG to interface with Unified Messaging System such that SG can be managed in HLR/IVR systems effectively.
- Implemented Partial Indexing feature in SG for CEM support so that SG can be managed easily and effectively with other 3Com/CommWorks products using CEM.
- Developed UNIX shell scripts for Configuration and Provisioning of the Gateway so that Customers can easily configure and provision SG.
- Responsible for Sustaining Engineering - Debugging and solving problems arising from live SS7 Gateways and SNMP Managers deployed in international and US IP Networks.

- Researched, designed, developed, and tested Lucent’s 5ESS-2000 switch call processing software using C/C++ object oriented approach in real time multithreaded UNIX environment.
- Carried out High Level Design, Low Level Design, Coding, White Box Testing and Deliverable Testing for different features like POTS interface to ETSI INAP to support standalone IP (Intelligent Peripheral) via ISUP, Carrier PreSelection on partial digits such that calls can be routed in less amount of time.
- Features involved Advanced Intelligent Networks, SCP, SSP, POTS, ISDN, ISUP, LNP, STRUNKs, Announcement and Digit Collection (ADC) and Switch Base Services (SBS) based on ITU/ ETSI INAP standards with increasing effectiveness of call processing.
- Troubleshot the existing code system via system diagnostics for errors and inefficiency, and generated innovative solutions to upgrade and optimize the 5ESS switch software.
- Achieved multiple tasks ahead of schedule by multi-tasking features development and as help desk contact person.
- Designed and conducted laboratories and graded homework for 'Structure of Digital Computers' and 'Digital Hardware Design'.
- Produced a document (Wonderful World of FPGA) with instructions for students on how to use FPGA in laboratories so that students can achieve their objective of learning FPGAs in less amount of time.
