My day to day intermingling with the contractors and consultants on project sites that I supervise improves my communication skills remarkably. This makes it very simple for me to settle disputes that arise therefrom misunderstanding between my client, contractors and consultants. I achieve this with very minimal supervision.
I am involved in managing post-contracts. My flair for negotiation and determining contractors' construction costs at various stages of project execution perfectly fine-tuned my skills by making it so easy to address variation fee claims and consultants submissions on professional fees.
I check and compare initial cost of drawings and designs with the new ones to identify additions made in the consultants’ design.
I assess tenders, make recommendations and advice on the best procurement route.
I manage consultants’ and contractors' claims for client approval.
I vet and re-calculate mechanical and electrical (M&E) services consultancy fees
