I worked on world’s largest polymer hydration & pumping unit for EOR technology. Project is successfully commissioned. Total safe man-hours were 41 million in 30 months.

I have responsibility for drawing up the construction budget and enacting proper construction techniques as well as working with the planning team to develop detailed production schedules and then executing the construction operations as per the detailed schedules as well as overall project plan to meet the management and the Board’s expectations.
I instruct construction personnel and track the progress of construction operations such as the arrival and utilization of materials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all manpower allocation as compared to monthly plans.
I coordinate with relevant departments in securing the needed permits and licenses for projects as well as ensure the construction meet safety codes and regulations.
I review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications frequently as well as consult with design professionals to ensure that progress is made in harmony with the outlined plans and specs. Collaborate with cost estimators to ensure that expenses are recorded properly and monitor the costs of the project so that the project does not go over budget.
I meet with the Client \[Operations Head\], Project Director and other managers as required to orchestrate the progress and completion of the project to the plan. Particularly:-
• Review monthly plans to ensure they are realistic & meet project needs
• Follow all construction activities to keep them within schedule
• Review all Production Progress & Productivity reports
• Monitor construction methods & build strategies & highlight possible improvements.
• To lead construction work of a brown field project at clients’ factory premises.
• Preparation of Technical specification of different auxiliary equipment of furnaces.
• To visit various work sites to carry out construction work on furnaces.
Achievements
• As a Project Manager, efficient completion of retrofitting of 2x12 MVA Ferro-Silicon furnaces at Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Limited, Bhadravati in 12 months from Aug 1993 to July 1994.
• To lead and conduct day to day activities related to construction of 6 nos. spheres at Reliance Hazira Project
• To procure required resources to match the construction schedule.
• To visit various project sites and provide technical assistance in construction work.
• To manage fabrication workshop and factory engaged in fabrication of mobile pressure vessels for transportation of LPG, Propylene and chlorine etc in Mumbai.
• To design and prepare design calculations for various pressure vessels as per BS 5500 and IS 2825.
Achievements
• Erection of facilities for fabrication of sphere petals at site. A first in project construction.
• Completion of erection and welding of 6 nos. spheres having finished weight of 1500 MT in 100 days.
• Completion of LPG Bottling plant in 8 months for Assam Oil Division of IOCL at Silchar in 1991.
• Completion of 2 nos. of 8M dia. Stainless Steel Spheres in 4 months for Polychem at their Baroda factory
• Completion of 315 M3 LPG storage vessel in 4 months at Reliance Hazira Project.
• To lead the team of persons engaged in doubling the production capacity of molasses based distillery.
• To provide advisory services to officials of Bangladesh Sugar & Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) on construction works related to capacity expansion of distillery.
• To manage construction of green field distillery construction site at Kaimganj for UP State Sugar Co-operative.
• To manage fabrication workshop at Mumbai.
Achievements
• Completion of distillery expansion in 8 months without any cost & time overrun in Bangladesh.
• Maintenance of Earthmoving equipment engaged in cross-country pipeline on Spread E of HBJ pipeline project.
• Generation of daily MIS on equipment productivity.
Achievements
• Achieved minimum equipment downtime using preventive maintenance techniques to contribute significantly for the completion of 200-kM length of 36” Gas transmission pipeline in 180 days
• Generation of detailed working drawings for structural fabrication including plate-cutting details.
• Maintenance of construction equipment like cranes, Power Generators, compressors and vehicles etc.
• Manpower planning for maintenance work.
• Supervision of surface preparation and painting of fabricated structures.
• Leader for erection group for calandria in reactor building.
• Leader for caissons’ sinking group at Railway Bridge project.
Achievements
• As a project Engineer, perfect erection of calandria frame in the reactor core of RB 1 of Kakrapar Nuclear power Plant, Gujarat in 1986
• Timely completion of sinking of 11 nos. caissons for the sub-structure of Bridge no 75 across Bassein Creek for Western Railway in 1985.
Graduated from Mysore University after attending a full time college for 5 years. Also did my Master's Degree through Distance learning from the same university in 2015.
