• The KLPE Integrated Petrochemical Complex Phase 2 Project is a new petrochemical plant with associated facilities to be constructed in the Atyrau Oblast (region) of Western Kazakhstan.
• Leading a team of 5 engineers, Static equipment/Packages handled in this project are Molesieve package, LPG unit package (Merox & COS removal), WHRU package, Cold Box, Electric heater packages, Flare packages, Columns and its internals, Vessels, Tanks, S&T heat exchangers, Air fin cooler packages (with winterization cabin), Filters etc.
• This is an open book estimate, presently, FEED is being carried out, which includes preparation of required / applicable specifications, datasheets, Requisitions, Vendor offer review, Technical bid evaluation and Cost estimate.
• Also all applicable BOQ's like Erection, Insulation, Fire proofing, Painting etc. are being issued.

Project Name - El Merk Field - Central Processing facilities (CPF); Algeria

Client - Groupment Berkine / Sonatrach Anadarko Association
• The project scope is to develop Central Processing Facility in the Berkine region, processing hydrocarbons initially from Block 208, operated by the Sonatrach/Anadarko Association, & from the unitised EMK field located on a portion of both Block 208 & the Sonatrach/ConocoPhillips operated Block 405a.
• Leading a team of 8-10 engineers, Static equipment/Packages handled in this project were Fired heater packages (5 nos), Flare packages (7 nos), Produced water treatment package, Electric heater (7 nos), Air fin cooler packages (38 nos), Activated carbon tower package, Columns (5 nos), Vessels (Low Pressure (52 nos), High Pressure (13 nos)), Tanks (11 nos) (External floating roof / Cone roof), S&T heat exchangers (27 nos), Filters, Desalters, Slug catchers (7 nos), LPG Sphere (3 nos), etc.
• Key achievement: Optimum selection of MOC for LPG sphere.
Huge value project with 5 fired heater and 7 flares involved. Had many engineers in team, effectively managed time and cost well within budget.

As a Principal / Lead Engineer, reporting to Project Engineering Manager, my duties and responsibilities have been as follows across the various projects led:
• Planning & Scheduling for the deliverables, Man hour estimation.
• Co-ordination with internal disciplines, PMC, Client and Vendors for Static equipment and Packages.
• Co-ordination / Controlling team of engineers in Sharjah and also from other value engineering centers
• Review the following: Engineering contract, Client's specifications, FEED ITT documents, etc.,
Review of TDR, schedule, Identify RFQ list etc.,
Review / Approval of Inquiry Requisition, TQ on Vendor offers, Technical Bid Evaluation, Purchase requisition.
Review of BOQ's like Erection, Insulation, Painting, fire-proofing.
Review/Approval of vendor documents after review by the working engineers but before issuing back to the vendors and/or submission to Client. Additional comments are marked for completeness of the document.
Inhouse / Vendor inputs vetted before giving to other disciplines for further engineering (like Civil load data, electrical load list, plot size/layouts for packages)
• Resolve engineering issues.
• Monitoring and Control, Expediting technical deliverables for on-time delivery of equipment/packages with highest quality.
• Attending HAZOP and Model reviews.
• Attending Vendor's shops for Factory acceptance test / Hydrotest / Built reviews without or along with Client.
• Ensuring documents are complying with local regulations and relevant codes.

Client - In Salah Gas (Consortium of Sonatrach, BP and Statoil)
• The project scope is to develop the four southern gas fields; Garet El Befinat, Hassi Moumene, In Salah and Gour Mahmoud.
• Leading a team of 6-8 engineers, Static equipment/Packages handled in this project included Glycol (TEG) dehydration package (2 Nos - 1no for each train), Electric heater packages, Incinerator, Flare packages, Vessels, Tanks, S&T heat exchangers, Air fin cooler packages, Filters etc.,
• Key achievement: Gas dehydration was de-packaged, Engineering by AKER and Manufacturing by IMS handled well without any major technical issues and controlled within stipulated time frame and budget.
Project: JI-183 Deputy Lead Engineer (Static) (From Dec 2006 till Mar 2008)
Project Name - Karachaganak 4th Train Stabilisation and Sweetening Project

Client - Karachaganak Petroleum
• FEED & EPCM of Crude distillation 2 x 50, 000 BSPD, consisting of pipeline, slug catcher, condensate stabilisation, gasoline sweetening, export oil facilities, flash gas compression, gas dehydration & dew pointing, export gas compression, flare and utilities
• Leading a team of 2-4 engineers, Static equipments/packages involved in this project were Incinerator package, desalter package, Air fin cooler package, S&T heat exchanger, Column, Storage tanks, HP and LP pressure vessels, pig launcher & receivers etc,
• Job responsibilities included Preparation of Inquiry requisition, Vendor offer review, Preparation of TQ, TBE and review / approval of engineering documents from Suppliers etc.
• Attending vendor's shops for Hydrotest / Built reviews.
• Meeting/ discussion with client/ UOP (Licensor) / other disciplines and suppliers
Kauther Gas Plant and Associated Facilities (From June 2006 till Nov 2006)

• Associated with the above project in approval of detailed designing of various equipment including Storage tanks, HP and LP pressure vessels, Filters etc.

JPME is a Joint Venture between Kuwait Pipe Industries and Oil Services Co, Ksc, Kuwait and John Pickle Company, USA. Holding U, U2, R, PP and S stamp and an ISO 9001 company.
• Main responsibilities were: Pre-Award: Verification of client datasheet, Preparation of Technical notes required to submit along with offer. Coordinating with marketing department to finalize cost during estimation. Coordinating / accompanying with marketing during negotiations.
Post-Award: Contract review. Preparation of Document submission schedules / project schedules based on VDR. Preparation of Sub-order status / Sub-Vendor list. Preparation of Organisation chart / Communication channel. Preparation of monthly progress report / Quarterly Financial status report of project. Preparation / checking of Mechanical Design of Columns, Storage tanks, Pressure vessels, Underground tanks etc., Checking / approval of detailed Fabrication Drawings. Preparation / checking of Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC) . Preparation of notes for KOM / PIM. Coordinating with EPC's, customers and with all departments in-house till completion of project. Preparation of SPIR. Preparation of As-Built documents and submittal of MRB's. Preparation of Overall project review report.
• Key achievements: - JPME was involved in pressure vessel and Column manufacturing. Undersigned took the first package from proposal till execution.
- Lead package engineer for Skid mounted Filter package thro' Petreco for KOC, Kuwait that includes valves, instruments, FRP Piping/fitting, electrical, cement lining etc.,
- Carried out Vendor assessment to identify supply of FRP pipes, forgings & fittings.
- Received appreciation from Contractor - AXSIA HOMAR for efficient management of high value projects.
- Involved in establishing standards.
- Involved in engineering of lifting beam for hydraulic lift of heavy reactor.
