Responsibilities:
Organizing Lab:
o Maintaining and calibrating equipment, Preparing all necessary solutions,
reagents, chemical and confirming the standards.
o Documentation of approved specifications, test methods and other quality
procedures.
o Monitoring inventory for laboratory gases, chemicals and consumables.
Testing & Preparation:
o Identification and quantification of different analytes by chromatographic
and spectroscopic (GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, ICP- MS, UV-VIS, HPTLC)
methods.
o Testing of water and food samples via solvent extraction and general wet
chemistry techniques.
o Analysis of raw materials and finished products and production method
development.
o Elemental analysis of herbs, ayurvedic formulations, spices, drinking water,
waste water, soil, food, cosmetics at different levels.
Health &Safety:
o Keeping up to date with health and safety issues in all aspects of lab works
according to the OSH (Occupational Safety and Health).
o Ensuring the safe storage for all chemical reagents.
Waste Disposal:
o Handling of chemical wastage disposal according to the guidelines and
regulation of govt. laws.
Documentation:
o Preparing test reports indicating variations from acceptable standards.
o Maintaining records and proper documentation of the analysis and enter
data on computer terminal.
