Jeddah Metro (Site Adaptation Study):
The Scope of works is Site Adaptation Study for Metro Jeddah for more 48 prototypical stations, 6 intersection stations and 5 special stations as designed by Foster + Partners, I have the responsibility for the following:
• Identify the architectural issues on the stations sites and alignment provided by Systra the PEDC for each line (Orange - Blue -Green).
• Study and review the prototype drawings submitted by F + P.
• Provide preliminary sketch scaled drawings to highlight constrains, shortfalls and clashes across all disciplines.
• Provide Resolution drawings to determine the best placement of stations on their site which minimize and mitigate the costs of land acquisition and existing buildings demolition. In addition, incorporating information from space syntax consultant, issue regarding public realm, pedestrian follow, urban configuration and vehicular requirements.
• Provide a technical support and coordination to Highway Engineering and Utility team.
Engineering Management Consultancy (EMC) for Jeddah Municipality:
As an architect and member of Engineering Management Consultant (EMC) team for Jeddah Municipality, I have the responsibility for the following:
• Facilitate concept design workshops to ensure that Jeddah Municipality intention and requirements are fully integrated.
• Facilitate periodical progress meetings to monitor the performance of the consultants to ensure that deliverables are in accordance with approved master program.
• Assist in managing and co-coordinating with other EMC disciplines, Consultant team and Jeddah Municipality project manager.
• Review the architectural drawings, reports, specification submitted by the design consultant.
• Attend value-engineering workshops in the design stage with the project staff by the consultant.
• Review and endorse the monthly progress reports.
• Assist in preparing pre-bidding RPFs and provide technical review and evaluating for the bidders.
• Provide technical assessment and reports for technical issues and blue sheets requested by Jeddah Municipality.
• Provide support for the urban planning team in architectural issues.
• Manage architectural design as-per client requirements and local building authorities.
• Prepare RFPs for Sub consultants for urban architecture.
• Evaluate the submitted technical proposals for bidding process.
- Leading a design team to produce highly creative designs in Pre-Concept, Concept Stage and Preliminary Design Stage.
- Manage The design as-per client requirements and local building authorities.
- Coordinating with technical team, interior designers, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and quantity surveyors to deliver an integrated and Coordinated design to the client.
- Review constructions issues with the contractors
- Provide Interior Design for residential and commercial projects.
