An accomplished and versatile HR Professional with 28 years’ experience (14 years in the UAE) with a proven track record of building new HR Departments and restructuring existing HR Departments, including development and implementation of corporate systems and policies. Fully conversant with the UAE labour law, coupled with an understanding of UAE employment culture and associated sensitivities.

• Responsible for growing, restructuring and managing the Human Resources Function:
o Developed a professional HR department, creating basic building blocks, procedures and clearly defined work instructions
o Mentored and trained existing HR team, whilst hiring talent to grow the function

• Management and roll out of company’s annual Performance Review Process (2 different systems - one for blue collar workers and one for white collar professional employees)
• Mentor Business Unit Managers in devising personal development plans for their respective team members, including identification of relevant training opportunities/requirements
• Coaching employees to assist them in working towards their personal targets and goals
• Recruitment of talent (from mass worker level recruitment campaigns to key senior level positions)
• Development of job descriptions
• Contract negotiation
• On-boarding successful candidates right through from relocation where applicable to induction upon entry into the company
• Close liaison with PRO relating to all visa and other employment law issues.
• Authorised Power of Attorney, taking full responsibility in acting as official representative in employee disputes made against the Company
• Conflict Management
• Employee relations, including general welfare, disciplinaries/terminations in joint liaison with the Business Partners
• Close out of employees departing the Company, including exit interviews and cancellation of visas/demobilizations/repatriation to home country
• Responsible for the data maintenance of the Company’s HRMS system
