Installation & Basic support for Primavera, ProVI Rail Alignment Software, RailSys, etc
Receive the support calls by helpdesk software, telephone, email or directly by the party and resolve or escalate to the corresponding level of support.
Handling Corporate IT Asset Management Software
- Installed new & rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
- Installation, configuration & management of mail server (MS Exchange Server)
- Assists users with the configuration, and on-going usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems
- Installation & configuration of firewall & antivirus
- Respond to user requests for service and determine nature and extent of support needed. Provide support or refer to the appropriate staff member.
- Installation & maintenance of servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
- Perform daily system monitoring, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted departments.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary
- Handling Network Infrastructure, File management, etc using windows Active Directory
- Installation, configuration & management of mail server (Mdaemon)
- Installation & configuration of network printers, wireless routers, etc.
- Installation & configuration of firewall & antivirus
- Installation, configuration & maintenance of windows servers which include Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, RAS, etc.
- Troubleshooting any reported problems and answering technical queries from different offices across the city
- Management of mail server(Lotus Domino & Notes) and user accounts
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
- Apply OS patches and upgrades, ensure AV signatures are up-to date
- Maintaining Leased Line connections and coordinated with the third party provider if any problems occur
- Performs backup operations as per the company policy
- Monitoring of system logs, applying precautionary measures if needed, & performance tuning
- Assembling, installation & configuration PCs
- Local Area Networking & configuration of server, workstations, peripherals
- Handling maintenance contracts
- Troubleshooting hardware & software related issues
