Working closely with the selected suppliers and managing the companies entire procurement and Logistics activities. Providing leadership for the purchasing department and motivating staff to achieve maximum performance and efficiency. Making sure that the purchasing department works within all of the companies Operational Procedures, Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment technical review and Supplier Performance, Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance, Sourcing the most affordable materials for the companies as a main task, Coordination with shipping agencies for export/import operation, creating and raising the RFQ, Finalizing long term price agreement (LTPA) Expedite as necessary to ensure all Contractual deliverables are completed in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment and Supplier Performance, Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance, Sourcing the most affordable materials for the companies manufacturing process, Reviewing tenders and bids, Controlling the purchasing budget, Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time, Ensuring the adequate supply of all required materials, components and equipment, Delivering cost savings for the company, Managing the procurement supplier relationships for the company, Helping to source alternative items for buyers and customers, Developing sourcing strategies, Managing commodity cost initiatives, Preparing high quality tender documentation, Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices, Resolving disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers, Keeping all supplier programs current and accurate, Delegating projects and tasks to junior staff, Promoting best practice across the company, Involved in writing up contracts and the terms of sales, Developing relationships with distributors, Working to create and promote a safe working environment.
Coordinates and tracks the progress, task completion and coordinates with planner to schedule the job.
Performs reporting for assigned project(s). Generally responsible for tracking project information.
Works directly with overall Project Manager. Develop, manage and maintain project work force and vise versa.
Carrying out material reconciliation on a pre-determined frequency to keep the updated stores data.
Co-ordination with the procurement department and client’s material division.
Checking vendor Invoices as per site physical progress.
Qatar Aluminum and QP’s Joint Venture project to manage entire logistics, procurement and material management issues onsite & offsite, ensure timely delivery of equipment and other construction accessories onsite requested by the end-user, entire logistics management, erection, Vendor’s onsite /offsite training services management, a member of Vendor evaluation and selection committee, coordination with vendor’s representative site reporting management, Tracking Construction master schedule & progress, HSE, QA/QC, Interface management for Pre com, MC & Commissioning of the project.
Overseeing Construction & Shutdown material management which includes bidding / negotiation / securing orders/ complete profit & loss of site construction, Turnaround activities including Repair, Annual maintenance. Managing Overall Procurement and Logistics Planning, Contracts, Scheduling & Cost control to meet delivery schedule which includes rationalization & prioritize, Allocating resources Viz. Manpower / Plant & Machineries /Tools & tackles/ Material & consumable inventory, Direction, Monitoring of Progress, Evaluate actual progress by comparing with day to day progress with master schedule & issue corrective action plan with catch up dates for timely delivery of project to valued client, manage overall Logistics management for delivery of entire POR onsite/offsite, Conduct weekly meeting on Progress, Safety, Quality with Vendors / Contractors / Clients & also with related inter departments.
