ABET " Accreditation Board For Engineering and Technology", is an American quality assurance for Educational and technology institutions.
Since June, 2011 I've been working as a Quality executive Engineer of ABET project at the faculty of engineering at NNU. The project aims at preparing the engineering programs at An-Najah National University for ABET american accreditation. In October, 2013 the Faculty of Engineering was visited by ABET organization evaluators (PEVs) from the US who awarded ABET accreditation to seven engineering programs from the first onsite review.
My work mainly involves: ABET processes quality assurance and quality control, ABET Accreditation processes development and implementation, internal auditing at the engineering departments, ABET Accreditation processes assessment and evaluation, daily running of ABET Center operations, archiving and documenting ABET Processes, organizing the periodic committee’s meetings and holding training workshops for the engineering faculty’s instructors concerning to ABET.

Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering dealing with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems or processes. Its underlying concepts overlap considerably with certain business-oriented disciplines such as operations management.
