Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operations of the accounting and finance department, provide assistance to the Manager in preparing forecasts and budgets.
• Supervise the posting of all accounting entries in journal and ledgers and ensure accuracy; prepare trial balance, income statement and balance sheet.
• Ensure appropriate entries in the inventory item cards, maintain inventory records and carry out physical stock checks to verify actual stock matched those in records.
• Oversee closing of accounts, carry out accounting adjustments as per accepted accounting practice, locate errors in accounting data (if any) and rectify them.
