• Development of a database and website that is compatible with SCBD requirements. The database should integrate information on updated NBSAP, National Reports, biodiversity-related knowledge of indigenous and local communities; national directories of scientific institutions and experts on specific thematic areas of the CBD; relevant policies and legislations (laws, regulations; etc) relating to the management and conservation of biological resources; scientific and technological information, including coordinating mechanisms and financial sources will be included in the information system.
• Develop the website on CHM and web infrastructure (hosting, architecture, maintenance), web content production & management, web content to disseminate information, interoperability.
• Linking of Bangladesh’s national CHM to existing regional and relevant international CHMs on biodiversity, such as the CHM of the Secretariat of CBD, BIOPLAN, IABIN and Smithsonian Institution in order to promote and facilitate scientific and technical cooperation through the exchange of information on biodiversity and maximize the benefits of existing experience and expertise.
• Building national contact network, assess scientific and technical cooperation, education and public awareness activities to be incorporated in the CHM.
• Develop a national CHM strategy and accordingly design institutional arrangements, responsibilities & terms of references, partnership arrangements; designing resource allocation like staff & office space,
• Develop protocols for information sharing and access, and how CHM could provide support for policymakers, researchers, teachers and students, and the general public;
• A training manual has to be prepared and a plan for regular maintenance and management with upgradation of the database and website.
• Conduct training ensuring the participation of relevant stakeholders in the collection, storage and dissemination of data under CHM in Bangladesh;
Make presentations in the meetings, workshops and consultations with stakeholders for getting inputs on designing an effective CHM
To provide valued service to e-GP/PROMIS Cell in CPTU under the project ensuring the smooth running of the e-GP system. closely work as a member of the e-GP/PROMIS Cell in CPTU, and will assist CPTU in e-GP application management, operation and enhancement services for successful implementation of e-GP component and smooth running of the e-GP system.
(i) Carry out designing, programming under the planned e-GP system enhancement activities and agreed by CPTU/e-GP Cell;
(ii) Support capacity development initiatives for CPTU and other e-GP users;
(iii) Support/ assist Sr. Web Developer/Programmer on e-GP system product planning, requirement analysis and deployment plan updating (if required), implementation of new enhancement/change requests.;
(iv) Assist CPTU in coordinating the activities of Central Help Desk and e-GP/PROMIS Cell in target agencies regarding major issues/bugs of the e-GP system;
(v) Assist CPTU in fixing bugs, carry out thorough testing and ensure the codes error free before the deployment in production and training servers
(vi) Monitor and ensure the different type of cyber security features of the e-GP system for smooth running the national procurement web portal. (vi) Any other task assigned by the management related to e-GP.

• Prepare specification of Computers, printers, scanners, photocopiers, video conferencing equipment and other IT related equipment
• Monitor IT activities of firms appointed by BEZA
• Monitor and review the deliverable submitted by any firms engaged by the client/BEZA particularly relevant to IT issues
• Providing IT related training to the officers & staff of BEZA and Project
• Analyzing the adequacy of hardware, software and network equipment in Data Center and Disaster Recovery site.
• Develop information Security for BEZA and ensure information security awareness among the employees,

• Maintaining and supervising database server, arranging necessary security measurements and protecting them with latest antivirus.
• Maintaining and supervising all hardware and network equipments.
Working Environment:
• Most projects are developed in PHP, Visual Basic, VB.net Databases used are sql server 2000, sql server 2005, mysql and oracle 10g.
