• Monitor control panels unit’s process performance on a continuous basis using the distributed control system (DCS).
• Use ESD system, interlocks system, sequences and instrumentation tools for emergency or start up and shutdown.
• Worked as DCS panel operator at delayed coke unit included tow overhauls.
• Furnace control.
• Fractionates control:-
Physical separation process is based on the difference in cuts volatilities.
• Stabilizer control.
• AS & DS control.
• Dry gas & LPG desulfurization system control.
• Review laboratory sample results analysis by referring to laboratory information management system (LIMS) updates, trending results and makes necessary adjustment of the control panel instructions.
• Steam generation control.
• Controlling & keep the processing normally during switching coke towers
• Deal with trouble shooting.
• Control start-up, shutdown and emergencies by alternations of speed, temperature, pressure and flow rates as necessary.
• Operation condition record, analysis record, material balance record.
• Worked as field operator at delayed coke unit included tow overhauls.
• Storage tanks handling:-
Switch receiving oil, Blending and stop blending, dipping, sampling, and drain
• Check Heat exchangers conditions.
• Check all Centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps:-
Cooling system, sealing oil, lubricant oil, pressure and temperature, vibration and noise
• Compressor:-
Start up and shut down, General check (lubrication oil system, sealing system (dry gas and oil), and all operation conditions) Check all auxiliary equipment, Check steam turbine (operation conditions).
• Furnace:-
Start up and shut down, General check (fuel gas, draft system, other operation condition, and auxiliary equipment)
• Coke tower: is thermal cracking change long chain of hydrocarbon into shorter hydrocarbon. All coke tower operation (switch towers, cooling, decking and warming)
• Electric desolater and dehydration (backwashing):-
Check interface level, check electric transformer situation
• Work at (AS/DS) absorption, stabilization and desulfurization section including separation of fuel gas, LPG which is considered as feed streams to olefins and petrochemical plants, and gasoline. Also the sweeting processes for fuel gases and LPG using Amine solution and caustic soda Including Amine and caustic soda regenerations section.
• Chemical handling.
• Regular communication with Panel Operator.
• Hand-over equipment for maintenance and taking over from maintenance after repair.
• Reports to unit Supervisor and receives instructions from Shift Supervisor about operation conditions.
• Works in accordance with in established operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Dealing with emergency cases.
