Planning:
• Responsible for environment, health and safety of the plant and personnel to ensure maintenance of accident and incident free conditions.
• Develop total preventive maintenance and automation plan for the selected machines to improve production and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Provide directions to department heads for preparation of annual plan for their respective departments to achieve the overall target production with year on year growth and cost.
• Coordinate with functional heads to provide guidance in preparation of annual plan, budget, strategies and action plans to meet the respective functional targets.
• Assimilate functional plans and improve functional parameters to achieve year on year improvement to prepare and finalize the overall plan with senior management.
• Share finalized plan with all department heads to seek buy in and commitment to achieve the final targets and for commencement of preparatory work.
• Participate in preparation of annual production plan, as a production manager, including production norms, productivity target and strategic plan to improve the performance.
Strategy Execution:
• Monitor actual performance for each functional area to ensure achievement of daily targets and in case of any deviation, to take necessary corrective action to make up the shortfall.
• Coordinate and direct the activities of all the plant activities to resolve any inter functional coordination issues and synchronize the plans of all the functions.
