1. Jun. 2005 till present as a Process Engineer in KPC Tarek Gas Plant. (7 days/site - 7 days/off)
•Day to day activities/troubleshooting of process upsets Plant Operations
•Good understanding of overall gas plant processes like conditioning, dehydration, dew pointing and sweetening.
• Participated in the preparation of Tarek gas plant turn around shutdown plans carried out annually through shutdown meetings, outstanding items list, process isolation procedures, and isolation registers for all units or vessels.
• Review of in-house engineering works including process calculations, drawings, PFD and P&ID development using HYSYS software and check also vendor's proposal studies, streams Specifications and Data Sheets for the new project.
• Day to day activities/troubleshooting of process upsets.
• Plant Operations
• Good understanding of overall gas plant processes like conditioning, dehydration, dew pointing and sweetening.
• Application of basic chemical engineering knowledge such as thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, mass & heat transfer, and reaction into real plant operation troubleshooting and performance evaluation for unit operation sustainability monitoring
• Basic and detail design experience of process system with application of manual calculation and simulation software through debottlenecking and modification that improve plant reliability and run-length • Good understanding and experienced with management of change (MOC) process and HAZOP study for plant integrity and safety
• Effective communication and team work skill between colleagues and external staff resulted in shorter project schedule and cost reduction
• Understanding of advanced process control concept and its application in Gas plant processes

• Supervise, coordinate, and lead 2 Junior Shift Engineers, 2 DCS Operators & 6 operators per shift. (12 hrs.).
• Work in catalytic reformer plant which includes: naphtha hydro-treating unit, catalytic reforming unit and vapor recovery unit
• Administer my own shift team including overtime, leave requests, shift swaps, and the vacation schedule as well as monitor operator training and generate development plans and performance appraisals.
• Carry out normal operation and troubleshooting with very good command of DCS & FSC systems “Honeywell”.
• Attend the operation meetings for process de-bottlenecking.
• Check the efficiency of the different equipment and discuss the causes and the different alternatives.
• Reporting the daily production report & process activities to the main head office in Cairo.
• Participate in the preparation for the different shutdowns.
• Carry out process isolation procedures and isolation registers for any unit or vessel.
• Report and arrange with maintenance crew for equipment maintenance and any equipment failure.
• Follow up all PM's & CM's for all the equipment in the plant.
• Attend annual and semi annual overhauls programs of process equipments (compressors, pumps, heaters, columns, generators, etc….).
• Follow up with the lab. Dept. to achieve the recommended gas & condensate specifications.
• Have the authority to issue all types of work permits.
• Follow up all safety means around the plant to implement the operation target safe and smooth.
• Auditing the following (Control of Work CoW, Permit to Work PTW, Isolation Completion Certificate ICC, Lock Out / Tag Out LOTO, Integrity Report, and Lifting Plan)
