13) Prepares reports and feasibility studies for oil and gas production operations.
During this period, I was extensively involved in the reservoir’s activities in several fields within Khalda Petroleum Company. Those fields have several successive reservoirs with different mechanisms. In addition, follow up and evaluate the well's performance and recommend the plans for the company. These duties include:
1) Conduct and integrate conventional reservoir engineering work with the multi-disciplinary member's output to identify optimum recovery and field development.
2) Identify the reservoir monitoring programs including the different well surveillance tools and propose the necessary actions for production, reserves, and cost optimization.
3) Estimate the STOOIP & the related reserves utilizing the volumetric methods, the Material Balance technique, and the decline curve analysis application.
4) Recommend and analyse RFT/MDT for fluid gradients, zonal communication, pressure depletion/support, & fluid to fluid contacts identification.
5) Interpret qualitatively the open hole logs to identify pay sections, reservoir quality, and fluid-to-fluid contacts, then recommend the perforation intervals.
6) Validate and quality checks the production and injection field measurements.
7) Recommending optimum production strategies and development plans (infill wells, re-completions, work-over, stimulation, shut-off watered out zones).
8) Extensive exposure in the development and monitoring carbonate reservoir (fracture limestone) and shally reservoirs.
9) Deep knowledge and experience in fluid property analysis, pressure transient analysis, reservoir, and performance analysis
10) Strong experience in optimization of mature fields where the water cut is higher than 80%.
11) Preparing the company budget and following up on the targets and asset performance.
12) Preparing the company annual report (drilling, production, activities, and achievement).
13) Involved in training and skills development of the newly hired reservoir engineers.
