Ocean Freight Import Clerk, deals with the transportation of goods in sea containers ... I am handling the inbound transportation of the goods ensuring all documentation is in order ready to receive shipments
Also I am full understanding of the documentation processes required to successfully receive goods into the country of destination and with the role of Customs and the preparation of Bills of Lading
I am directly involved with all imported goods received into the country of destination to ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and legally acceptable to Customs to allow clearance and entry into the country.
I obtain charges and cargo release details from freight forwarding agents and shipping lines.
I am also responsible for ensuring any payments due are made in advance of any shipment as required ... process all payments and raise necessary paperwork for accounting purposes inline with company requirements.
Also arrange the release and transportation of goods received to cargo importers.
Also liaises daily with external agents and clients to ensure the smooth and efficient discharge of their duties.

• Handling all process with the agents around the World on Cargo X platform and uploading all necessary documents to be linked to Nafeza system .
• Handling all process in issuing the ACID and make sure of the validation of the ACID.
• Handling all process in issuing the Master ACID which is used in Unifreight Consoles to be mentioned on the Master Bill of Loading in order to get confirmation from the Shipping line to Issue our MBL and get confirmation of sailing for our containers.
• Uploading all shipment Documents to Nafeza System which required in the custom clearance process like The Delivery order of the shipment and all kind of customs documents.
Job description of Sea freight:
- Send routing and follow up with origin and update customer with status at all stages till shipment arrival
- Follow up with the carriers, forwarding agent and shipping lines for the status of shipment arrival, to ensure delivery to customer on time and on agreed conditions.
- Quote Agents & Customers for all import / export inquiries
- Co-ordinate and solve discrepancies / problem in documentation
- Co-ordinate with Local Distribution in arranging necessary for the smooth delivery of the consignment door to door
- Assists departmental staff on administrative task related to freight issues
Job description of Agent Accounting:
• Handling all Financial accounting between Unifreight and all the agents around the world on Monthly basis checking all invoices has been issued and check first if all invoices are confirmed and transfer the amount to the agent directly.
