Process engineering department in the Phosphoric Acid Plant (PAP)
As a senior process engineer, my tasks are to:
- Ensure daily report and monthly report of the PAP (engineering side), water balance, specific mass balance…
- Assist to daily meeting meeting in the plant
- Follow up production, efficiency and critical parameter of the plant
- Report to the engineering manager
- Continuous improvement studies
- Support operation team
- Assist, support and reporting for lab and plant test of new chemicals (Defoamer, flocculent…)
As head of department, and in addition to the usual tasks of engineering, I am in charge of :
Ensure the proper functioning of the di-ammonium phosphate unit where there is a storage area dedicated for production
Ensure the daily maintenance of the strategic equipment
Suggest changes in the process in order to improve the performance as well as system performance and facilitate the various tasks
Follow-up the industrial trials in collaboration with the other divisions/departments (research, quality ...)
NB: during this period, we have succeeded to :
- Produce the MAP and for the first time since the launch of my unit (1500 t / day) thanks to some modifications in the installation
- Reach the daily production of 3000 tons of DAP (the previous record was 2600 tons) thanks to some upgrades in the installation
- Produce NPK formula (8-40-0-5S) for the first time thanks to some modifications/upgrades in the installation
Manage staff : 80 appointed at different positions
Manage the stock of raw materials and strategic items
Ensure a kind of flexibility in the plant for several constraints (stock, quality of raw materials, accidental failures ...)
Coordination avec les divers services: bureau de méthode, bureau des études, bureau de réalisation, service qualité, direction de l'environnement, service ammoniac, service expédition réception, service d'entretien mécanique, service d'entretien électrique, service sulfurique, utilities service, service phosphorique, division de production, la direction
Coordination with the various departments: the methodology office, the Bureau of studies, the production office, the quality service, the environment department, the ammonia service, the shipping/ reception department, the mechanical maintenance service, the electrical maintenance service, the sulfuric service, utilities service, the phosphoric service, the production division, the management
Ensure the proper functioning of two production units of diluted phosphoric acid and three production lines of concentrated phosphoric acid as well as a storage area composed of ten tanks with a large capacity
Schedule the daily maintenance as well as the strategic maintenance of equipment
Suggest changes/upgrades in the process that affect the chemical performance of the unit and facilitate the implementation of various tasks
Follow-up the industrial trials in collaboration with the other divisions/departments (research, quality ...)
Co-manage staff : 70 appointed at different positions
Co-manage the stock of raw materials and strategic items
Ensure a kind of flexibility in the plant for several constraints (stock, quality of raw materials, accidental failures ...)
Canvass for the different customers categories
Offer goods which reply to their need
Provide technical assistance to my colleagues who work in sales
