• The job scope covers all aspects of Quantity Surveying functions from pre-contract to post contract including contract administrations for all the new sanitary projects and maintenance of the existing sanitary establishments within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Responsible for all aspects of Quantity Surveying functions for new township namely North Bahrain New Town and assisted by three (3) Quantity Surveyors until April 2008.
The detail scope of works comprising:-
 Review and provide advice to sub-ordinates on the terms of reference (ToR) for Consultancy Services, measurement of quantities, preparation of tender documents, tender advertisement, letter of invitation, tender report, letter of award, contract agreement, interim payment certificate, variation order, claim and final account for in-house projects.
 Review and provide advice to the Consultants on their submissions of preliminary and final estimates, tender documents in particular BOQs and conditions of contract, tender report, interim and final payments, variation and claim.
 Participate in price negotiation for award of in-house and Consultant managed projects.
 Administer and advice to resolve the contractual and commercial issues.

The Projects Involved for North Bahrain New Town
a. The whole development covers an area of 1, 000 hectares and is planned to be developed for a period of between ten (10) to fifteen (15) years by Government and private investors. The government is responsible to develop all the infrastructures, utilities and social housings and the estimated development cost for government works is BD1.20 billion.
b. As of April 2008, the consultants have been appointed for various design packages, various
construction packages have been tendered and construction works are scheduled to start soon.
